Captivated by a Fantasy !

Tell you what! I feel I am heading towards what could be to becoming my most favourite game of all time. And what game could it be other than one of a franchise I am the fan of. Final Fantasy VI Advance is undoubtedly a game that is so good that one can't believe we are playing a 2D handheld. It feels like I am playing a SNES actually. I never played the original and hence I have loved the storyline so far. Characters are long but the gameplay has been so vastly improved that it finally feels like an RPG unlike the previous entries on GBA remake series.

Kefka looks real evil and I mean what kind of villian feeds poison in the water to defeat it's enemies. A real twisted one, I dare say. He's not too perfect like Sephiroth but he is really evil.

And music? I am talking about the video gaming's best soundtrack of all time. The overworld music is so captivating that I can still go la..la..:D

Uh,I am not writing a review just now. I haven't completed it. Ih amidst all this Final Fantasy I forgot to tell that I even bought A Link to the Past...will play probably after a time though..la..la.la!

I have become a fan of Zelda !(few more Zelda games to buy)

I competed Minish Cap just now and I felt it to be the best GBA game by far. The gameplay bowled me down. Look at my review of Minish Cap for more.

Though non-GS users have forced me to play Zelda, guys here like NeonNinja too have unknowingly played a part in making me a Zelda fan. THANKS NeonNinja!

However I headed to th nearby game shop and bought Oracle of Ages, Oracle of Seasons, A Link to the Past (all are GBA Zelda titles). Yeah, I know I have become a big Zelda fan but I could'nt forget to buy Final Fantasy VI Advance. :P

See ya all! and Happy Valentine's Day!

FINALLY! I get to play Zelda!

Yeah. It has been a hell of a blackout from Zelda--the gaming world's supreme action/adventure series. I got Minish Cap for my birthday along with FFV. Actually I am gonna get Smackdown vs Raw 2007 and Link to the Past(another Zelda title!) later in March. My birthday's already gone but tests are up ahead.

By the way, Minish Cap looks great and I am now getting to 'know' what the ooh-aah about Zelda is. The tragic thing is that I had bought an Ocarina of Time N64 cartridge a few years back and did'nt even own an N64 then. I did get a second-hand one and it too should be ready with a little adapter changes by March. Can't wait to put my teeth into Ocarina!!!

DX lives!!!!!

OH YES! DX lives courtesy to Shawn Michaels battling all the odds and beating the hell out of Rated RKO. The steel chair hit on Orton rocked along with those string of low blows. Rated RKO deserved it as they insulted legends like Ric Flair and Hacksaw.

Keep it up!!!

The list of Most Wanted games of 2007

Everyone knows that Gamespot’s most wanted titles of 2007 were really very disappointing. For those who haven’t seen it yet, see it now and get disappointed. Anyways, I thought that why not make my list of most wanted game titles of 2007. These mainly include the Next-gen console games plus a few others of PC and handheld.

HALO 3 (xbox360)

Who wouldn’t include this? Not me at least. The possibly final installment in this sci-fi FPS, debuts on 360 and easily could be the most anticipated title.

ASSASSINS CREED (xbox360, PC)

Call it Elder Scrolls of 2006 with a tinge of stealth. Assassin’s Creed showed a lot of promise when it’s live demo was played on X360 live.

BIOSHOCK (xbox360,PC)

Ah, 2K games making a horror title. Interesting and it’s trailers are slowly justifying this game as the next possible contender to Resident Evil.

SUPER MARIO GALAXY (Wii)

A Nintendo Home console without a Mario title is unimaginable and so Wii gets this one. People who have tried this game out as demonstrations have termed it superb.

DEVIL MAY CRY 4 (PS3)

If it was 360’s year in 2006 expect it to be PS3’s year in 2007 as they have got a long list of great games. One of them is the PS2 hit Action series Devil May Cry which debuts on PS3 with it’s fourth installment.

World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusades (PC)

I cannot obviously forget the king of MMO RPG’s which returns with it’s latest installment Burning Crusades.

HALF LIFE 2: EPISODE TWO (PC)

Despite few delays last year Episode Two remains a favorite this year after Episode One’s cliffhanger what will happen to Freeman and Alyx now they are out of Area 17.

CRISIS CORE: FINAL FANTASY VII (PSP)

PSP gamers like me would me putting their money on Crisis Core which is due for release in Q1 in Japan. The story focuses on Zack, a Soldier and his days of training in Shinra INC.

Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass (DS)

I am not too sure if this is going to release in 2007 but after the success of Twilight Princess, Zelda fans will sure await Phantom Hourglass.

Where does GTA go next?

Yes, I have played LCS and I have enjoyed it a hell lot. It felt great being back in Liberty City. The roads, buildings, gangs and all the stuff looks just like GTAIII. In fact even better. The graphics though choppy frame rated are a hell lot sharper than they where in GTAIII. As I laid the PSP down watching the game credits, I wondered... where does GTA go from here.

VCS is a great game, so I have heard but I still do not see the repetitiveness in GTA games. If Zelda fans are not complaining about Twilight Princess, why should the GTA fans?

I can't help feeling that all GTA's fans wuld be putting their money on GTAIV due for this October on 360 and PS3. Rockstar have tried out my favourite 80's with Vice City and VCS. 90's with San Andreas and LCS and the modern 2K with GTAIII. So where do they go from here. Make a present day scenario on a new location. Possible. But I had a crazy thought for a moment that I would like to share. I wondered what if Tommy, CJ or any previous GTA protagonist(even new) get warped back in time to feudal era. It might look like GTA in Galbadia or in Hyrule but it is fun. I mean if Rockstar can gamble with Bully why not GTA? I know I know that being a GTA fan I would never forgive Rockstar if they messed it up. But even Square gambled with gambits in FFXII..and it paid off. Let's see what happens though in the future.

2006 The Year that was for : Final Fantasy

Yes, after making a few remakes on GBA Square Enix returned to a long list of games for the FF fans. Final Fantasy XI though loosely made did boast a new improved game battle system ( which was later seen in FFXII) but with a great multiplayer options it did decently well. Then some follow ups of FFXI came in the form of Treasures of Aht Urhgan and Chains of Promanthia. Though I haven't played either of these the reviews don't state this game worth playing.

FFV Advance was a great game just reminding the fans of FF(who did'nt play the original FF games on NES and SNES) what we are missing. FFIII for DS is a great game that uses the dual screen system of DS well.

It had been a rather quiet but nonetheless an interesting year so far. Then came the biggest drawback in FF series. FFVII Dirge of Cerberus was an instant flop. An FF Action game I gasped during that time. Pretty much like Square though. Always experimentative. I wished Square did not do their experiments on FFXII but they did and BOY OH BOY it worked in Big time. A step of revolution like all the previous well made FF games like VII,VIII,IX,X.

Though I am not sure excatly what FF games are releasing in 2007 I know that FFVII Crisis Core for PSP(Yeah finally I can play an FFVII game:D) and I think another is FFXIII for PS3.

Watch out Final Fantasy is gonna have a solid of a tear in 2007.Wish Square Best of Luck and all of you on Gamespot a Happy New Year (belated very much belated:P)

Reader's Choice winners as I would like to be!

Yup. It's true. Because I feel that Zelda:Twilight Princess is getting ahead cause of the popularity of legends like Ocarina of Time and Majora Mask etc. Oblivion is a truly greatest RPG as it perfectly fulfills the defination of Role Playing in one word- Freedom.

Gears of War is a great game but I have to agree that it isn't fair sometimes that Action shooters being most of ours favourite genre just steals GOTY.:?.

But OY We love Action games. But we all are literally obsessed with action shooters and GoW is with stunning graphics too.

FFXII would have won if there was a category called The Boldest Step to a Series. Because as an FF fan I am used to emotional development between characters. All to the contrast FFXII is an excellent game with a political minded story8)

Anyways. This was my view. I know I know that Gears is going to win and Zelda is going to become second but for once I would be happy if either IOblivion or FFXII would pip Zelda to second spot as Gears is far beyond the reach.
