Haven't played much MGS, but there is one thing I'd like to say: Complex story does not necessarily equal good story.

*peers into thread*

So is it a fact yet?

skrat_01

The opening post? No, of course not. And we haven't even begun discussing backwards compatability, which is also in the PC's favour and thus increases the variety.

I don't think PC game is dyin but I do think just a little over a million is a sad figure when your compairing it to the Xbox 360 or anything other console with a much smaller install base. But again piracy has ALOT to do with that...APOLLOCJD

And why exactly should anyone care about the attachment rate to the computers? It's not a console(Not that see the point with reference to consoles either, I thought hard numbers were all that mattered).

I thought system wars was about who had the best games. Who cares about sales as long as you have games?

[QUOTE="rond5566"]

It's not about the end of KOTOR that really matters. It's the fact that the choice is even there to begin with. For instance in KOTOR, there is a part where you have to take down a camp of smugglers. You could charge in and just kill them all, try to talk them down, or try to distract them by lowering their shields. Jolee just says "Deal with it."

If it was a JRPG, Jolee would tell you exactly how he wanted you to do it, and that would be the only way to do it. Again, this little instance has no effect on the outcome of the game, but the game is filled with them and the purpose is to do what you want to get to the goal. The ending cinematic is not the only important thing in a game. It's the little decisions that make WRPG's different from JRPG's

JLF1

Different but not necessary better.

The problem is that those small decisions have very very little impact on the game as a whole. In MGSIV you can choose to play on the guerrillas side or the military's. Does that make MGSIV a RPG game?

Two words: Replay value

MS runs the PC market. Nobody can argue that Windows is on more computers than any other platform combined and then multiplied by something. Senor_Kami

That's silly. As if it belongs less to intel, nvidia and Amd/ATI.

I'm sorry this doesn't work for me. Don't have an xbox. If you can make fun of Microsoft Windows on the other hand.
