Now i dont want to be misunderstood, as i truly have the utmost respect for gamestop and the quality/integrity of the reviews they provide but i have to ask where have they been lately. I see no review for turning point, conflict denied ops and though it recently came out army of two. Army of two I understand but the other two have no excuse. Now i understand that yes they are understaffed for w/e (cant go into it I dont work there) but I see a Saints Row preview a Gta hands on another vegas 2 "hands on" and other features that are being posted. While i enjoy this, wouldn't one deem it more necessary to put manpower into actually reviewing purchases readers can make now?Once again not an attack gamestop forum admins just wondering why the struggle to review games as ign posts reviews the day a game releases all the while these largely worthless hands "on" articles keep popping up?
Im just curious as to how many of you guys out there traded in Halo 3 in the wake of COD4. If u simply traded it in id still like to know, but im most interested in those who traded it in because or for COD4 or even Assassins creed.
Solid point about its sales record, but apart from the fact that evryone bought it, whats so amazing or revolutionary about it? The comment about its hype was not a challange to its sales on the contrary,it definatelylived up to hype in terms of numbers. I think the original post is referring to gameplay and uniquness something most gamers care about, not numbers and sales recordswhichis whatanalysts and stock holders concern themselves with.
While under articulated and entirely lacking in evidence and support I have to agree with his crude statement. I feel that alot of what people profess Halo to have done has been pioneered by other games, duel wielding, map editor, co-op play, all can be found elsewhere. While I do feel that it combines these elements well, when faced with the insurmountable mountain of hype and amount ofpeople yelling GAME OF THE YEAR frankly...it does kinda "suck". Flame on I understand my opinion is far from universal, but i stand by it, Halo is far from revolutionary.
