[QUOTE="lionsnakes"][QUOTE="clone01"] he did nothing like that. and sony isn't close to failing.clone01

So you're avoiding the last argument you got proven wrong in and your jumping to this one? what was you're last argument. How is losing billions of dollars and most of your marketshare not failing in your opinion?

i feel like you're jumping to a lot of different argument to support your original post.

My original post is based on facts it doesn't need to be supported. You failed to answer the question. How is losing billions of dollars and most of your marketshare not failing in your opinion?

[QUOTE="lionsnakes"][QUOTE="Gangstah-Fresh"]Well that information wasn't that awful. I thought you were going to say that Sony was going to stop supporting the PS or something. I can deal with that stuff. I guess you as an established economist will tell us that Sony is a failing company due to a slow start which the company anticipated? clone01
lol I love how people try to act like Sony planned to fail like this. Do you think Sony anticipated being in last place after nearly three years on the market?

[QUOTE="clone01"][QUOTE="lionsnakes"][QUOTE="clone01"] why are you repeating your comments?

because they still apply. Sony has fallen behind in terms of games too. So your 'playing sales' line has just been discarded in favor of reality.

i don't understand then, why you disregarded my chart of A, AA, and AAA statements by system here: http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pc5oLqpenpT78W87pMfgvBA&gid=3 it demonstrates a legitimate argument against your previous quality argument. PS3 and 360 are tied in AAAe.

Counting only exclusives and AAAe is fanboy logic. As a gamer I want the console with the most good games period. PS2 was WAY AHEAD in terms of everything last gen, and the very fact that those defending the PS3 have to resort to things like "PS3 is almost equal in AAAe" just goes to show how much Sony has gone backwards with the PS3 vs. where they were with PS2.

[QUOTE="clone01"][QUOTE="lionsnakes"][QUOTE="clone01"] however, you still seem to be playing sales.

PS2 had the most A's, AA's and AAA's by far in terms of home consoles, this generation, however, the 360 has more. So Sony has fallen behind in terms of games as well.

[QUOTE="lionsnakes"][QUOTE="Animal-Mother"]

Remind me what franchises they lost besides tekken?

Animal-Mother

Just off the top of my head DMC - GTA (was exclusive on PS2 for nearly two years), - Assassin's Creed - Again, Newsweek revealed that Ubisoft had actually gone to Sony with an offer to make the game a PlayStation 3 exclusive. Although Sony did go through the trouble of asking Ubisoft to make it seem as if their multiplatform action game Assassin's Creed was indeed PS3 exclusive , it came out shortly after E3 that it would ship simultaneously on both platforms. - Final Fantasy - Metal Gear - Silent Hill - Virtua Fighter 5 - Ace Combat - Fatal Inertia - Beautiful Katamari

Besides beautiful katamari/ IDK about fatal inertia/ace combat and VF5 non of those other games were exclusive.

DMC 3 Was on PC

GTA:VC went to PC

AC I want a link for that. Big Link

Silent hill 2 went to PC and XBOX before this gen

Final fantasy PS2 only had two exclusive games. Whats the big whoop?

Metal Gear was never an Exclusive franchise either. You should really research.

Here is your BIG link http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2007/07/sonys-lost-excl/

[QUOTE="lionsnakes"]If I have listed facts that you cannot refute, how does my credibility even come into question? You said in your first post that I gave an opinion based rant but that couldn't be further from the truth as all I stated were facts. Seems to me like you're just grasping at straws.clone01
from a strictly business perspective, you are correct. however, when do sales = quality? the dreamcast was a financial disaster, and it had some fantastic games.

PS2 had the most A's, AA's and AAA's by far in terms of home consoles, this generation, however, the 360 has more. So Sony has fallen behind in terms of games as well.

[QUOTE="lionsnakes"]Let's look at all the things Sony has lost this gen. This is not opinion, it's fact. 1. Most of their marketshare: FACT 2. Billions of dollars: FACT 3. Nearly all of their third party exclusive franchises: FACT 4. Their place as the industry leader: FACT 5. Their lead in total AAA and AA reviewed games: FACT Let's face it, the only thing PS3 has going for it are Sony's first party titles, but the problem is 98% of the games on the console are multiplat, and for the most part they are inferior on the PS3. So basically 98% of your gaming on the PS3 is second rate. Even franchises like Metal Gear, which were thought to be exclusive to PS3 are coming to the 360, and sales of Sony's first party title sales have been underwhelming to say the least. Sony is a weak company at this point. They are losing money hand over fist. Even their waggle wand shown at E3 seemed like a joke, an afterthought cheap knockoff item coming as a last desperate effort from a company that has been brought to it's knees this generation by its peers. Proof that Sony no longer has the power to compete.coltsfan4ever

Does all that affect my enjoyment I get from the PS3? No it doesn't. Imo it is the best system this gen.

imo doesnt mean much on this board
