Yeah I noticed that lol, but I've probably paid for the gfx card, 16-bit sound and the 400gb hdd (I saw you had 340 or something) and it's a 17" screen (I forgot what your screen was). And plus, I live in the UK and we get ripped off with prices for some reason. I know it's alot but I plan on keeping this laptop for at least 10 years so yeah...

I think if I was to choose where to live it would be the US because I have 50 States to choose from that aren't all sunny, whereas everywhere is sunny in Australia from what I understand and it might get too much for me.

I would get a second opinion on what the computer guy said to you about your Video Card because you might still be able to change it. I paid alot more for mine £999 ($1,500). It was probably overpriced because it's a laptop from a big computer company called PC World.
