press button to reset controler same concern still present. any other idea??? I have already turn main switch on and off also. I did hold down home buttom for more than five seconds. still no responce. all LEDS on controller keep flashing.
Had one major problem with ps3 system frozed while doing update. did not touch no button nor did I turn system off. system would not respone. Called sony tech line. Said to turn system main switch off then back on did so and system still would not respone. Will have to ship my system out for repairs. They dont know what wrong with it other than a hardware problem. only have system since january. Very disappointed with down time. Other than that system is great.
I called sony. told me to shut main power off did so. But same screen present "PLUG IN CONTROLLER WITH USB CABLE AND PRESS HOME" said they couldn't help me hardware problem. I thing that some how my controller lost communication with ps3. system is ready to preform update. I think that why system is stuck at screen. waiting for responce from contorler
Had to pay shipping charges. System will be fixed for free. but I am more concern about simular concern happening again. what if my system acts up when warrenty is over. I dont want to pay for another ps3 again (but I will) if it fails. Also down time is as big concern. I don't have my ps2 anymore since I got my PS3. Can't play GOD OF WAR 2 OR FINAL FANSITY 12. Also I was really looking forward to motor storm. Now I have nothing to play. Very pissed. I just also bought a HDTV.
Yeah it's taken care off but I dont speed $600 dollars for a system to have it fail on me. Then gave to pay extra to have system fix and 1 month or more down time. you know what i Mean. I was also wondering if any body has had any simular concerns, and if so how can it be fix with being shipped for repairs?????

I attempted to preform system update 1.54 on Feb 28, while preforming update, system requested that " USB CONTROLLER BE PLUGGED IN AND HOME BUTTON BE PRESSED" did so and system did not respone. Called sony tech line for assistance. Told me to turn system off then back on, did so and system still stuck at same screen and would not respone. Tech line said that they could not help me and that system has hardware problems. will have to ship system in for repairs. Will take over one month to recieve system back
