as someone who has both systems heres an honest evaluation of both

Xbox

+ better online service

+ good xbla games

+ controller is better for shooters

+ Multiplats have the edge more often than not(most aren't noticeable these days though)

-you pay for online, so only worth it if you play alot

-Netflix requires gold(ridiculous)

-Not many exclusives other than shooters and Forza(good xbla games though)

-Kinect sucks and thats what m soft is focusing on now....

PS3

+ Better more varied exclusives

+ better controller overall (personal preference)

+ free online

+ playstation plus is a hell of a value

+ psn games are also good

+ Netflix and other apps perform better at no extra charge

+Bluray Player

- Download Times are slower

- Some multiplats are noticeably worse (Bayonetta, Fallout, Skyrim), most are fine though

- Online is free, so don't expect a flawless experience. works for me though. depends on how much you play online

-Ps Move sucks, but at least they recognize it and put less emphasis on it

i am a sp gamer. only online games i play are fifa regularly and call of duty every blue moon. I don't have the time to dedicate myself to getting good at online games. I'm also ultra competitive, so i get frustrated easily when i play online, and am losing. I play games to relax, not to raise my blood pressure.

i liked it, suprisingly the only rockstar game i beat without losing interest and going to something else. got bored with red dead and gta4. im actaully playing gta4 right now, and its better than i remember. red dead bored the crap out of me though

well at least treyarch is trying. whats gonna happen when next year modern warfare 4 is announced and its really mw 3.5, and mw3 was mw 2.5, does that make mw4 the real mw3?

looks pretty good, at least by Call of Duty standards. At least Treyarch is trying new things with the box they are put in with each game they release. Infinity Ward on the other hand is pathetic. at the very least you'll get a good bang for your buck with singleplayer, multiplayer and zombies, also these games never loose they're value within a year, you play the crap out of it and sell it for 40 bucks easy.

charging for online, focusing their system on a hand gesture/motion control device that makes you look like a joke, having no good exclusives other than a couple of shooter franchises(i hate shooters), needing me to pay to access netflix or other video streaming services wich i already pay for, changing the dualshock to a big bulky controller with a terrible d pad.

crysis sucks

depends. mainstream hip hop(soulja boy) is easy, but someone like mos def has more talent than can be measured. Metal sucks, but im sure it takes talent.

Country sucks, and takes the least talent, but then there are some great guitarists that play country music. Metal and especially death metal is pure garbage though.
