okay so i have mass effect and i love it so far and i need another rpg i just cant wait so should i get oblivion

oblivion was one of the best most time consuming games i have ever played. get it if you want to have absolutely no social life for about a monthish haha.

i dislike it for a few reasons actually... first i think it lacks originality. yes the first one was good, but to keep a series going stong you should really inovate and make it worth a second purchase. i dont think anyone wants the same game with a new name. halo 2 improved on halo 1 with it's online. halo 2 was one of the best online shooters, but it does get old after the years. so heres where halo 3 should pick up the slack, but to me halo 3 really didn't add much in relation to halo 2. sure there are new maps and some new game types and certain little perks, but essentially it is the same game as halo 2. i know you are thinking, "hey. it's halo still. it has to be like halo 2" but seriously, it doesn't have to be a carbon copy. why would you want to pay $60 just to play the same multiplayer you've been playing for 3 years already?

Secondly, i am very disapointed with the single player. it is extremely short. it ranges from about 4-8 hours depending on the player and difficulty setting. though it does have a nice co-op mode that does make it pretty fun. fun, but shorter yet.

Thirdly, it has way too much hype for what it is. people praise it without a good reason to. look at the scores. no way a game that has an extremely short single player and a refurbished multiplayer should ever score a 9.5. that's next to perfection and in no way is this a near perfect game. and because of this hype it draws in the young crowd that think, because their friends say so, that this is the greatest game in the world. that's why the online community is greatly made up of prepubescent whiney brats.

we are in the 360 board... im pretty sure everyone without brain damage knows what someone means when they say GOW in here. sure, if we were in system wars it would make sense to differenciate between the two, so please, keep your smart ass comments to yourself.
