Yes that happens to my PS3 which is also a launch 120GB slim. So it is almost 2 years old and has not given me any problems. The poping noise is normal. The sould of the plastic casing expanding then contracting after long PS3 gaming sessions.

It is normal this has happen ever since I got my slim at launch. I guess by now Sony must have used better plastic for the PS3 slim.

I hope thats sarcastic. I really hate the fact that Sony are building less quality products for a lower price to please a greater audience, but its the modest solution. Same thing happed to Vita, a shame but necessary.

No matter how much I like your theory, I can gaurantee you that it is not the case. Your theory may work in other subjects, but not in computer science. Using limited hardware to produce good quality is in fact extremely hard. PC has the better hardware, because the Operating System is able to use as much power as the better hardware supply. Console on the other hand, has a limited CPU, graphics card, and RAM compare to high-end PC, even you can say the console only runs games and platform, PC runs tons of stuff. PC still runs games better because the Operating System can pull most of its resources, like CPU power, to support a running video game. But you are absolutely right, the only way to improve better performance while having the same hardware, is to have better software coding. But it is very hard to make everything efficient. By the way, Windows is no better than any other OS.

I have a slim and its been doing that for a year, its thermal expansion, I just wikied it. It made sense, and plus slim used more plastic than the old phat ones. I was very worried when I first got my console, but its still running fine so far.

It's actually an MMO, I thought it's just a shooter with the same theme as EVE, and EVE itself being an MMO.

I think the only thing that makes the atmosphere not as good as the PC is the dust and smokes. I went on and compared the videos, though trees are definitely lower res than in PC, but it's still ok. I once compared Crysis 2 ps3 and pc, on the ps3 the trees are just ugly, but BF3 seems fine. The lighting, details of fog, smoke, and dust are a lot less quality than PC. Character and models are still quite matching. It seems like good framerate too.

Well, I actually downloaded it. But it doesn't count as if I own the product, because I cannot download again through the Games section but only from past Download list.

So I decided to go for Infamous and Wipeout today and downloaded them both. I went back to the Games section, Wipeout is being marked as purchased (it has that PS Store icon on the bottom right). However, Infamous does not. Although they all show in the Download list, but Infamous for some reason, different from Wipeout, that it does not show the game has been purchased by me, and if I wish to download from there, I have to pay.

For those of you who selected Infamous for this Welcome back program, can you guys verify my problem? Or is there any other games (maybe LBP too) also have this problem?

Thanks.

I hope I can give you a subjective view on the matter: Decision 1 - Pros: You get instant fun. Even though the PC has better graphics, but the console is decent on most games, and that extra time ahead playing the game is an important factor comparing to you might play the game in years later. Why catching the time is important is because you flow with this generation of the gaming culture. I realize you still haven't play Oblivion, and that's an old game, Skyrim is about to come out, and I'm sure you are or will consider of getting it too. Cons: By following the most latest footsteps of gaming, you will probably never get a good PC. This also depends on if you are getting a job or getting a better job in the future. Personal economy matters greatly on your decisions. If you will stay the same as now for additional 2 years, you cannot get a good PC that supports games until your financial ability becomes stronger. Hint: Since your money is sort of tight, you have to make sure your money is well worth the purchase. Try to get your hands on the game first, try it out, see if its what you expected. Decision 2 - Pros: By getting a PC, you can play games with better graphics, and most importantly, cheaper, or with no money at all. And a better PC is always good to have, not just for gaming, but overall performance will benefit you from doing other work on the computer. Cons: You will not be able to play the games you wanted for an extended period of time, it could get long enough that you will forget or decide to give up on the masterpiece you once craved for. You also get disconnect with the culture in recent games, gaming media flows fast, and there's a lot of going on in this culture. If you are hardcore gamer, losing this time period of culture sure will make you not hardcore.

Does this game has Japanese speech with English subtitles? Or is it English speech only? Also, when you describe the list of epicness of this game, you did not list Story, I am a huge fan on plot and characters, is it as epic as worth mentioning? Thanks.
