Hi all,

I got a 64GB ssd as boot driver for a new build today.

atriot Torqx 2 PT264GS25SSDR 2.5" 64GB SATA II

Mobo

asus

M5A88-V EVO

tried to install windows 7 but the ssd shows up as 2mb partition.

I tried to plug it into different sata port still the same thing.

I went in bios and bios also shows the drive as a 2mb driver.

What did I do wrong?

Thanks in advance

well lets just say something unexpected happened to my last rig, I had to buy everything again, mouse, keyboard, monitor ect.. and the way hdd are priced right now just didnt leave me alot of budget for everything else. as good as my old gtx 470 was, i hated the way evga cards are enclosured, the fan makes a really loud noise when the card is under full load. I think im gonna trade the cpu in for a P2x6, but is my am3 plus board backward compatible? and also I only have a 650w PSU.

Just build a new PC yesterday

AMD FX 6100

ASUS M5A99X Evo

8 Gb of Ram (running at 1600)

1TB HDD

GTX 560 TI

650W PSU

But after reading some reviews for bulldozer i am having doubt if I should have went for Intel, I got the CPU cheap for $140. came home and OCed it to 4.2 on stock cooling. seems way faster than my old PC (i3 540 OCed to 4.3ghz, 4g Ram, GTX 470), both in games and in OS. but the only thing about my CPU is it has a bug which would not let me play SHOGUN 2, (reboot as soon as I launch the game even at clock frequncy) . Should just go for an sandy bridge i3 instead? i5 cpu/mobo are alil over my budget.

[QUOTE="crazyfist36"]

it's only available for cards supporting dx 10.1 and 11.

DanielDust

AKA cards, that should be able to actually play the game with good enough settings to activate something extra that hits the frame rate hard (I say should because nothing stops people from trying to play high end games on low end cards of current series).

I dont think it's the card, My system spec: i7920, 4gb ddr3, EVGA GTX 470 1280mb SC, and the AA drop down list just didnt have any options for me, everything else is on Ultra, I turned everything on/max and still got a decent FPS and 1920 x 1080. Could it be an issue with the driver?

OK what is priacy leak, its not like priates hacked their computer. the leak was not caused by priacy, it is being priated because of internal leak, so stop whining about piracy and go after whoever leaked it, chances are they signed a NDA of some sort. HL2 was leaks months before released, and the game still sold pretty well.

you don't really want i7 unless you are willing to invest on x58/1366 motherboard and tri channel DDR3, which it is pointless right now since 1366 will be obsolete when sandy bridge is fixed. I'd go for a quad i5 /1156, 4gb ddr3, gtx 560, and a SSD + a HDD for storage.
