having never built a AMD rig, I kinda want to try it, but they say ATI cards perform better on AMD machine, is it true? my bro is running a 4890, I can just swap with him that makes a difference.

Anything below a i5/7 upgrade is not worth it. Besides, your duo core is still right up there in 99% of today's games.

CPU: Pentium D E6300 OCed

MoBo: Gigabyte EP43-UD3L

PSU: Antec Trio 550W

My rig is more then 2 years old and I am just not sure its up to task anymore, here is some benchmarks I did just now, please let me know if it is time for me to upgrade this old lady.. and Which part should I go for first, where is the bottleneck as far as gaming go.

Im about to put together a new rig with lots of old parts,

Parts I already have:

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400

EVGA Nvidia 9800GT

2x 1GB Crossair XMS 800MHZ DC

550W PSU (forgot the brand)

And a DVD RW Combo Drive.

2x 500Gb HDD

I am trying to get a Antech 1200 Case and new Mobo, Although I am not sure how many Fans my PSU can power after powering all these hardware, and what I need to know when getting a new mother board? like what kind of north bridge to get and etc...

Thanks in advance!
