First good laugh this month. I think I am going buy the intercooler for my PS3 and 360. I do not want a giant searing hole in my floor. Next thing you know the next xbox will have a flamethrower. It is like that old show Robot Wars.
I first off I do not care. But The PS3 will have trophies (PS version of achievement's). It will also have episodic content. It will also have exclusive content. Also if you read the news Rock Star says that the lack of space on the Xbox DVD discs are holding the game back. If they could make the game for blu-ray (PS3) exclusively, then they would have a lot more freedom. But they have to keep the two versions as identical as possible for production purposes. So the tables have turned now it is the 360 slacking behind. Let the onslaught of rebukes begin. (just search joystiq for the official story).
Just read the article. It does not matter what system you like more, this story is just funny. You got to feel bad for the 360. First levitating babies, exploding rubix cubes and now the power to incinerate other devices.. Sony what have you done?!
It works for me. My 5:58 nurbugring lap in gran turismo 4 is proof of that. If you are not a huge racing fan I would wait until they release the new wheel for GT5 and the PS3.
You can get them cheap on ebay. Also, I do not think they are going to add anything that new for the new wheel. I would buy the driving force pro now and when the new one comes out, go to eb games or ebay and sell the old one. I have it and I would say it decreases my Nurburgring lap times by at least 30 seconds. It is not good for games like Need for Speed. But it did work well in Test Drive Unlimited. I say go for it.
I got invited to be invited to the BETA test so I do not know if I will partake in it. Also I do not mean to sound like a wuss but I am not going to break the licence agreement that basically states 'you can not tell anyone anything (important) about home'. What I can tell you is yes it is amazing or no it is a waist of time. Personally I can't wait.

After looking over the PSU forums it seems that a small number of non GAP members got selected but by small I mean like 10. Otherwise the invites seem to be limited to GAP members. Also if you got the email it only means you have a chance to BETA test home. It is like you are entered to win a million dollars. You still have to compete with tens of thousands of other invitees. Also about 99% of GAP members are loyal to Sony so do not expect any videos or major information out of us. If I get selected I will tell you that yes it is amazing or wow what a waist of time but that is it. If you did not get the invite don't worry October is not that far away.
