I've always found them much more annoying than mean. I can even handle the smart remarks, but the constant harping on Pre-Orders and Gamercards (even if it is company policy) is annoying.wmg1299
Well if you'd plop down the 15 bones for the discount card and preorder Halo 3 like you know you're going to, you wouldn't have any troubles.

I am utterly disturbed by the games that people play and actually give good reviews to.

I kept hearing all this talk about how Bioshock is going to be "the best game ever made" and how everyone should preorder it, so I decided to check it out. So I read up on it and was looking through it, and I was horrified at that game. It is twisted, disgusting, scary, and all around disturbing, and people ACTUALLY like to play that, much less look at it. This was not the only game that I found horribly disturbing. Half Life 2 was just as bad. I was playing the demo of hl2 and I started the second level and once I started playing I immediately shut it down, uninstalled it yet I still was soo nauseous after it that I decided to do a complete reinstall of windows to make sure that every trace of that twisted game was gone from my computer.

These are just a few disturbing games that everyone seems to like , here are a few more-FEAR, Resident Evil, and system shock.

Is it just me that thinks it is gross and disturbing to play these vulgar "so called" games? I am the first to admit that I hate anything scary or gory, but am I the only one that doesn't find it a little wrong to get pleasure out of these vulgar games.

PLEASE: NOBODY GET UPSET AT ME, I just want to know if anyone else feels the same way, or if not then tell me why do these games appeal to you.

Thank you for listening to my opinion on this subject, and any responses are welcomed. I feel as though I am missing out on all these new awe insipiring games because of the disturbing subject matter.

I think the forums are being invaded by the Christian right-wing. Did Mitt Romney put you up to this? That sly devil, always looking at how to use the latest technology available to pimp his agenda...such as blogs. JK After reading your post, you clearly are the demo audience for the Nintendo Wii.

This is a seriously weak question.

I was going to say MSG3 for sure. But you're obviously not a big MGS fan (or even into MGS). If you were you wouldn't be asking this question. Period.

So I have no idea. What ever appeals to you more I guess.

I honestly dont understand why turn based combat games get sold. I know that they arefull ofstory and all but i could never force myself to play one. Im not dissing you for liking them im just trying to find out why they are so popular? Personally, I have never played a Final Fantasy game. I know that it is some sort of a gaming sin but i just cant bring myself to play one! someone please clue me in on why these games are so popular???somedude16
Tsk Tsk Tsk. Dissing a genre you haven't had the pleasure of playing. FF Tactics. I'm telling you, before you know it, you'll be thirty hours into it and enjoying every minute.

There was this game back on the old NES called "RoboWarrior." You played a space guy blasting aliens on another planet (somewhat similar play style to Legend of Zelda). Early in the game you come accross a wall that stretches the entire length of the screen. I tried bombing it, shooting it, ramming it; hell, I even tried praying to the Spartan Gods, but to no avail. I tried eveything I could but I couldn't get pass it. The only time in my life I was willing to chuck a game system across the room. Years later, I read something somewere that said you needed a certain amount of bombs concentrated on a particular part on the wall (which wasn't identified by typical video game means; i.e: a crack, a different color section, etc) to break a hole in it. I tried pluggin in my NES again to give the game a crack again and low and behold, my system no longer works. I'm still pissed. :(

I agree. I have an affinity for Under Siege 2: Dark Territory.
