@Tobajas@made_u_look@MuddVader Lol, well the Tevinter Mages do get possessed. And it was them who started the first blights trying to reach the Makers City, then corrupting it. Slavery has nothing to do about being different, Slavery is a system under which people are treated as property to be bought and sold, and are forced to work. Mages in the Circle work to e provide funds for themselves, they mention this in the Codex. And failing in the Harrowing may be harsh but its a test to prove whether or not the mage can be trusted in not giving into temptation. And being laissez faire about mages just doing whatever they want has consequences.
@Tobajas @MuddVader Yea you forgot to mention the Tevinter Imperium one of the first ancient civilizations still around, who enslaved everyone and mages being the ruling class until Andraste freed the southern half of the continent. The main reason that mages are kept in check, and are susceptible to being possessed by demons, and they aren't treated as slaves. More like prisoners, to be kept under watch. People seem to forgot that, so if the mages win? What then they going to let everyone live in peace happy ending? You can count the Imperium isn't going to sit quietly.
@chieflion Lol, really a sword? Ya so a dude walking around with a sword isn't going to rouse suspicion in downtown Chicago? I've seen a cop shoot a deaf man on the street for carry a chef knife. With a Expandable Nightstick, you can conceal and it hurts like hell getting hit with one. It shatters knee caps and breaks bones easily.
