Been a long time since I've spewed anything out on here so thought I'd write a little update.

Firstly back in January (coincidentally on my birthday) I was told that the company I was working for was going to shut down due to some nonsense that they made up to make their sister company look better. I took a job in the sister company for a bit just so that I could get by and then I was offered a job by a company who I had done work for during my previous job and they took me on full time with a nice payrise and a company car. So in March it was all sorted out and I left the old job behind me and started doing something I actually enjoyed again (well it has its ups and downs to be honest).

So with the introduction of the company car I decided to do some work on the old car in order to get it back up to spec before selling it. Not had much of a chance to do any of the bigger jobs as I was using it every day. Since then the entire interior has been removed and a few wiring jobs under the carpet repaired. Only things left to do on that car is get some new tyres and paint the front bumper.

However work on that car has been somewhat halted by the introduction of a Porsche 944. This car has been sat in a garage down the road from my parents house for the last 8 years without moving. There's a story behind why it came to be in that position but I won't go into that, the main thing is that it was given to me for free so that I could fix it up, get it back on the road, and enjoy it as a car like that is meant to be enjoyed. So far I've given it a major cleanup and gotten the car looking more like a car and less like a wreck. Having some issues with the starter motor at the moment so I've yet to get the car running but I think it's close to working again.

Other than that lot I've just been playing on my 360 quite a lot and don't really play on my PC much anymore. Picked up Fallout 3 yesterday so going to be playing a lot of that in the near future.

I doubt anybody is going to read this but thought I'd update it anyway, hello to you if there is anybody out there :)

So after some more fiddling about with the car I have fixed the following:

Door seal letting water into the interior
Bonnet release cable grommet letting water into the interior
All suspension arms replaced
New Anti-Roll bar fittings
New front tyres

Now my car flies around corners again yay!

This is what's left to do

Fix the front bumper that I cracked on a high kerb
Sort out the rattly door panel
Get a new clutch
Replace fan belt
Get coilovers for even better cornering
Get car re-sprayed to remove carpark dings and the like
Fix the weird electrical bug disabling half my drivers door

Once I've fixed that lot I'll be happy and out of things to repair on the car meaning I can move onto my next project, hopefully a mk2 Golf GTI :D

Well for some unknown reason the landlord of the place I was looking to move into denied me (would love to know why) so looks like I'm staying with the parents for a bit and doing more work to the car instead.

On the subject of doing the car I went to give my air filter a good clean as the car was running a bit rough and noticed something odd underneath so I jacked the car up and went to investigate. After sticking my head underneath I noticed that the anti-roll bar was hanging on by one bolt on the drivers side as the other bolt had snapped off. I unbolted the rest of the links and noticed that the remaining 3 bolts have stretched slightly and look like they are going to snap off at any moment.

Going to take the car out for a quick drive in a bit to see how it handles with no anti roll bar so I can limp it to work tomorrow and order the new bolts.

On the plus side at least I know what's causing the car to handle badly.

Update: Still waiting for the air filter to dry so I can't test it but now the car is looking very clean (although I got lazy on the rear wheels)

Ok so I should really update you on what's going on with me at the moment.

I had moved out of my parents place and was living in the town that I work for a couple of years until disaster struck and one of the guys I lived with kept hassling the landlord who eventually kicked us out back in march so that he could refurbish the place and make more money from rent afterwards.

Being broke at the time I decided to move back with my parents and do some much needed work to the car and gave the front suspension setup an overhaul and generally try and sort out a few niggling problems with it.

I also decided to buy a 360 purely because I could ;)

So now I'm getting a bit fed up of the daily 60 mile drive and have found a place in town which I shall hopefully be moving into in the next few months which will hopefully give me enough time to save up for the rent/deposit and sort out the last few things on the car so I can just leave it parked up most of the time not doing much and just use it for a bit of fun now and then.

Other than the fact work is really dragging it out of me at the mo with me not having much time to myself and that's pretty much all there is.

Time to get back to it now :)

Lately I've been very busy with my poor VW.

It's developed a few electronic gremlins stopping the drivers mirror from adjusting and the drivers door locking from the central locking.

I've spent a good £500 on repairs on it lately (mostly suspension) and need to get some coilovers and a new clutch for it too.

Now I shall treat you to an image of it in it's current state.

It's now ready to be sold yay!

Well GS is getting more and more annoying, with the constant union invites (for which the odd nasty pm has been sent out for) and the fact that it's been taking about 10 minutes to post on the damn forums these days. Why does it take so long? I can be patient but when it's taking that long to post one thing it's just stupid. If it doesn't improve I'm just going to call it a day and stop posting completely.

Sorry for the lack of reading/commenting in your journals......but once I get a single good nights sleep I'll get back into the swing of things.

I'm fed up, I'm about to throw a router out the window if this damn wireless networking doesn't work soon, if that wasn't enough I'm not allowed to park my car where it was at my mate's flat in his space that he PAYS for because of some whining little git who was probably jealous that my car costs 4 times as much as his.

I just want to go home and collapse.

Tonight when leaving a pub, me and a friend found a dude bleeding some his arm quite badly, because the d**k decided to punch a window.....after patching him up with his shirt and calling an amblulance his uber clever girlfriend decided to remove said bandage to which I pushed her away and just applied some pressure using my bare hands and hoping the damne ambluance arrived quickly...thankfully it did, he got carted away and I got the blood cleaned off my hands..............after that I proceeded to be ignored by a so called friend, had a fair few more drinks.....told said friend where to stick her said friendship and returned home to listen to some damn fine funk courtesy of the James Taylor Quartet and the Average White Band.
