A few months back I picked up A PS3 I basically was still playing ps2 so I skipped a whole generation some of my favorite games were the DW games especially empires.

I love Dw5 empires for many reasons but the main couple are that you can bring your created characters into battle and place them throughout China and conquer them to add them to your team!I would put them in adjacent territories and conquer those territories first then move onto conquering China with my group of created warriors it made the game so much more fun going into battle with Athena,Thor,ares,malificent,Achilles or even Joan of arc.

Greek gods,famous heroes, it was a blast the second part that I really enjoyed was assigning different items ex:equip with ice arrows,form alliance,despotism etc.after each battle it was strategic to a point!

So my question is having never played DW7 empires and not finding a demo to play can you bring created characters into battle in this manor for ex:if I create let's say 6 characters can I try to conquer China with all my created warriors like DW5 or can I only utilize one this is A major aspect on whether or not Inam going to get DW7 empires.

Maybe someone can give me some similarities and differences between the two as well as pro's vs con's or point me in the right direction Inwould really like to experience DW on PS3 but am curious about how dw7 fairs compared to DW5 Empires

Thanks for the input all you left me with a lot to think about you all make very valid points the only reason I went this route was my sister got my brother in law a xbone one for Christmas and the guys at my job all have xbone or ps4 but they do have tons of games for last gen i never upgraded after ps2 but holy shit does both scale bound and horizon zero dawn look awesome how us elder scrolls.? That looks like a pretty cool game along with dragon age I know I'm getting a little off topic here I'm used to ps2 haven't really touched last gen consoles was busy getting married buying a house having a kid etc just started getting back into gaming recently again with the daughter getting older and playing with her kindle she tells Daddy to play his game have not had a chance to change my avatar I am a guy I've also been finding more free time so console of choice the one I've always played ps2 so PS3 is probably a solid option like I said you all gave me a lot to think about I appreciate all of your thoughts and opinions

I am leaning towards the PS3 now or xbone the PS3 for the game library the xbone for the compatibility it's tough.

Judging from the last couple of posts I never really looked at pc gaming as an option I've only really played console I have downloaded a good handfull of games pic I've always enjoyed console however probably because I really do not know anyone who pic games

I have considered the PS3 for that reason as well as the bone being able to play older games the only downside to the bone is I skipped a whole generation so all I have is a ps2 with a good handful of most played games have games gotten that bad or is it because I'm a whole generation back

I am long overdue for an upgrade from ps2 I am torn between both Xbox one and ps4.

Being a PlayStation guy all my life I am leaning towards a ps4 but am considering a Xbox one which in my area could be had for about 60-70 dollars cheaper.

I know coming from a ps2 graphics in either system are going to be more than adequate

I do not have a whole lot of ppl,I will be connecting with friend wise in either system I have a few on both sides to connect with so this aspect is a wash

Everyone says which exclusives do you like more you will be happy with either system I am having such a hard time deciding what is making it even harder are two games that I would love to have for both systems which would make my decision a whole lot easier

Scalebound & horizon zero dawn

I am not big into shooter games ex:gears of war,halo,battlefield etc Inam more drawn towards action/adventure/RPGs this is where scale bound really grabbed my eye.

I am leaning towards ps4 more for their huge diverse library as it looks like Xbox one is a bit smaller but they are backwards compatible this is such a hard decision maybe some of you guys who have one or both systems can chime in a little I know it comes down to which. Games I prefer to play and that's hard other than first person shooters I really play anything
