Is it that bad that all your fanboy talk ended up for nothing with the PS4 going no where, that you all have to jump off the internet? PS4 is selling extremely well at the $399 price.

So if we're really using launch games as fact bout the potential of the new consoles, then the fact is, that PS4 is more powerful than last gen. In which case resolution is a big problem for MS and it makes the PS4 at a advantage, because apart from TV the Xbone it hasn't got a lot else going for it.

This should be a given.. It's pc architecture will hit its max potential much sooner then the ps3 ever did. Only makes sense, a 5 year cycle should be the norm. Especially with a cheap price like 399.

Yeah getting games like Mass Effect (5 years before PS3), Bioshock (1 year), Oblivion (1 year), Left4Dead 2 and now Titanfall are certainly Microsoft not delivering on games.

Sure PS3 got them eventually, but its not really the same thing, its like watching a Oscar winning movie from 2 years ago today. The hype has moved onto a new movie and no one is discussing the old one any more.

@bbkkristian: I disagree. Technology moves at a rapid pace. I don't want the same console for ten years the same way I don't want the same cell phone for ten years.

if they continue using x86 there is no excuse now to not have BC. And if they don't offer it and the cycles become shorter then count me out. Haven't even bought a PS4 yet because of that. No BC and pay to play online....

@kingoflife9: QUANTUM BREAK, SUNSET OVERDRIVE HAVENT BEEN SHOWN YET,

and after FUSE Sunset really looks like it will suck, and even before this microtransactions thing,

I had this lingering feeling this may be f2p or have lots of microtransactions, and it looks like a kids game,

quantum break might be good, but because its tied to a tv show that looks about as animated as a puppet show,

doesn't inspire much confidence......

10 years and all you are going to have is halo 7 and forza 8 as notable exclusives,

again

Microsoft says that the Xbox One is a 10-year console, but what about the PlayStation 4? We asked Sony UK boss Fergal Gara whether the PS4 is in it for the long stretch.

"I think there's reasons to believe that the next cycle might be shorter in markets such as the UK," he said.

"It's probably a sign of the times and how much has changed in seven years, but I think the willingness and the appetite to pick up new technology fast has probably changed quite a bit."

Thank goodness... the last generation of consoles dragged on for way too long, so if we can return to a 5 year life cycle going forward (like we used to have), I'll be happy.

SOURCE

And they will wait till the last year to release any good games. Greatness awaits........................meanwhile I will have fun playing all the best games on the xbox one.

The x1 isn't going to have a 10 year cycle, inferior tech to current competitors should bring them enough headaches already. And going by microsoft history even if they have superior games in the first year or two, which in this case they don't, they stop supporting their consoles later on by either introducing random pointless tech like the kinect or ease off of bringing exclusives to players.

I think 5 years is too short, but let's not make it 8, I'd say 6 is good. Most games started declining in quality when 2012 hit.

Lets see, it didn't live up to the hype, all the games are disappointing...

its best game is flower (lol) and resogun (LMFAO)

The controller cramps you hands, the triggers are spongy, the analog sticks are slippery, the controller can't stay charged for more than an hour and a half LOL.

The UI is so boring I want to quit gaming. It doesn't even have youtube or HBO go

The apps are set up so you have to go through a damn list to find anything,

the console overheats, hardware fails, and electrocutes its users.

God I feel bad for the people who fell for the hype, they are undoubtedly regretting it right now.

With Xbox, you can experience new innovations, like shouting at your tv, dancing for your tv, and watching tv through your console! Also, we will never invade your privacy... Um but please don't turn off your console... Or disconnect it from the internet, or turn off the camera... Especially the camera... It helps us with the cloud... Don't hurt the cloud

Xbox fans a week ago: HAHA! Brickstation!

Xbox fans this week: Hey, launch failures are expected.

Lol same thing when Ryse came out.

Before: AHAHAH Knack sucks ass (it still does really)

Ryse comes out: Come on guys bad scores are to be expected I will have fun with it anyway!

God I feel bad for the people who fell for the hype, they are undoubtedly regretting it right now.

1) Games are based on opinions same with XB1 some people hate Ryse some people like it some hate Knack some don't you're point is moot and stupid as there is plenty to play with first party and third party.

2) I doubt you've even touched the controller, And you have yet to show you even have a PS4. First off the controller does not "cramp" your hand it is very comfortable the triggers make it easier for FPS games and other games alike as it is more comfortable and the charge lasted me well over 6 hours NON-STOP playing a game

3) The UI will be updated, as will the UI of XB1 which that is based off of Windows 8 and i've heard some complaints of lag and tiles moving unless being "pinned" and every topic all you do is bring up HBO GO and YouTube, which people probably have set up on their TV and don't need through the Xbox.

4) All you have to do is scroll to find it, wow so hard.

5) You really don't know Jack the console heats up more than XB1 has less failure rate with the BLOD compared to Xbox's DDOD, and as far as electrocution.... Again I see you're living in DumbShit land where I guess made up news makes sense

6) Stop posting useless topics you're just asking to get owned

PS4 suffers from a huge lack of games right now, but it'll probably not even be the worst console of the generation, as that honour looks destined to go to the Wii U!

Keep attempting to dethrone, because you know deep inside it's not as bad as you make the console out to be, and if the console was that much of a failure, just wait until you hear the European and Japanese sales and future game reviews ;)

To be, or not to be, that is the question:

Whether 'tis Nobler in the mind to suffer

The Slings and Arrows of outrageous Fortune,

Or to take Arms against a Sea of troubles,

And by opposing end them: to die, to sleep

No more; and by a sleep, to say we end

The Heart-ache, and the thousand Natural shocks

That Flesh is heir to? 'Tis a consummation

Devoutly to be wished. To die, to sleep,

To sleep, perchance to Dream; Aye, there's the rub,

For in that sleep of death, what dreams may come,

When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,

That makes Calamity of so long life:

For who would bear the Whips and Scorns of time,

The Oppressor's wrong, the proud man's Contumely,

The pangs of despised Love, the Law’s delay,

The insolence of Office, and the Spurns

That patient merit of the unworthy takes,

When he himself might his Quietus make

With a bare Bodkin? Who would Fardels bear,

To grunt and sweat under a weary life,

But that the dread of something after death,

The undiscovered Country, from whose bourn

No Traveller returns, Puzzles the will,

And makes us rather bear those ills we have,

Than fly to others that we know not of.

Thus Conscience does make Cowards of us all,

And thus the Native hue of Resolution

Is sicklied o'er, with the pale cast of Thought,

And enterprises of great pitch and moment,

With this regard their Currents turn awry,

And lose the name of Action. Soft you now,

The fair Ophelia? Nymph, in thy Orisons

Be all my sins remembered

Yep. PS4 has no games.

Must make a good ornament though.

I heard it wobbles.

Like the Xbone's controller which directly effects comfort and gameplay? Shocking!

The Xbox One controller features next generation wobble-feedback.
The PS4 is just badly made, and has no games. :)

Here's a comment for your thread; I believe you were looking for one.

To be, or not to be, that is the question:

To be, or not to be, that is the question:

Must give us pause. There's the respect

That makes Calamity of so long life:

For who would bear the Whips and Scorns of time,

The Oppressor's wrong, the proud man's Contumely,

The pangs of despised Love, the Law’s delay,

The insolence of Office, and the Spurns

That patient merit of the unworthy takes,

When he himself might his Quietus make

With a bare Bodkin? Who would Fardels bear,

To grunt and sweat under a weary life,

But that the dread of something after death,

The undiscovered Country, from whose bourn

No Traveller returns, Puzzles the will,

And makes us rather bear those ills we have,

Than fly to others that we know not of.

Thus Conscience does make Cowards of us all,

And thus the Native hue of Resolution

Is sicklied o'er, with the pale cast of Thought,

And enterprises of great pitch and moment,

With this regard their Currents turn awry,

And lose the name of Action. Soft you now,

The fair Ophelia? Nymph, in thy Orisons

Be all my sins remembered

Whether 'tis Nobler in the mind to suffer

The Slings and Arrows of outrageous Fortune,

Or to take Arms against a Sea of troubles,

And by opposing end them: to die, to sleep

No more; and by a sleep, to say we end

The Heart-ache, and the thousand Natural shocks

That Flesh is heir to? 'Tis a consummation
