I heard of this term many times before, but what is "Blast Processing"? What is so great about and why some see it as nothing more than marketing hype?
[QUOTE="organic_machine"]If casual gaming died, "hardcore" gaming would die with it. SpruceCaboose
This man speaks the truth. Casuals are the backbone of the industry, and its clear looking at sales charts and so forth that this is true. Without casuals, gaming would either die or wither to a minuscule size. By looking at the NPD data, "casuals" are what keeping the video game industry from falling deeper into recession.
3. If Wii games has legs, then DS games have WHEELS! I swear, how old is Mario Kart DS? And why is NSMB still staying in the top 20? Cooking game....yeah...You can bet with the tear DS pulled last month, those games wheels will become even bigger! Games like Mario Kart DS and NSMB just doesn't have wheels, they have wheels with a hemi 400 hp engine at the front with some nos system in the trunk! They just don't stop selling it seems!

These games have "wheels" in Japan too, and newer games like Kirby Ultra Super Deluxe (1 million solds), Rhythm Tegoku Gold (over 1.44 million sold), and Wagamama Fashion Girls Mode (over 620,000, which is surprising as it targets young women and girls and have not left the Top 10 since it went on sale in October) are following in their footsteps.
I wonder what Nintendo shareholders are doing right now.....

You may not be aware that currently, Nintendo stocks have lost over half their value last year. This has to do with the strenght of the yen over the U.S. dollar and the recession.
