My own.. my precious.. my white DSlite :D

Yesterday I got my own DS Lite!!! YAY :P Here it is with New Super Mario Bros. in it. And Astro Boy in the GBA slot :) Notice the web page on the laptop.. I sold one of my old regular DSes, and had to put in a bit of additional cash but it was worth it :) I love it!! My precious..

My babies

While my girlfriend and I are trying to have a baby, we have two cats who act as our babies for now :) (They will always be of course, but even more so now that we don't have any kids yet) This is Mozart, born June 11th, 1997 And this is Sylvester, born May 10th, 2002 They aren't the best of friends, they can be in the same room but preferably as far away from each other as possible.. Sometimes Sylvester stalks Mozart and tries to play with him, but Mozart is too old and tired to play with Sylvester :) They are both neutered so they won't reproduce, that is our responsibility as cat owners IMO, so that there will be fewer unwanted kittens that only will end up being put down or worse.. Most people are good to animals but there are many who have no regard of animals and their well-being at all.. :( Sadly...

GS glitches - Emblems and levels

I am not getting my hard-earned emblems! -I have posted well over 190 tags, but not even a Tagger Flirt emblem to show for it?! -I have rated all 84 of my games to 10.0 but have yet to receive a Pushover emblem. -I own 35 NES games and 5 SNES games but no Old School emblem. -I have 84 games in my collection, average GS score is 8.9 but I can not seem to find any Good Taste emblems.. (Let me check that again..) Nope, still no emblem... So that's four emblems that I, according to the Emblems guide, have earned but not received. This is in reality no big deal in itself, but I WANT them nevertheless!!! The problem is, as far as I know, that GS is chock full of glitches right now. I am no computer expert so I have no idea why these occur or how to mend them. But I feel that the people working here should do something about it. Maybe they are trying right now, maybe they don't care. Maybe they can't fix it at all. But I hope they can and will... Check here for more info. EDIT: November 4. YAY!! They're here! They're here! Somehow I got my precious emblems today! Thank you :) Whoever fixed my emblems, thank you!!

My works

I made my first tag today!! I made it for The Toronto Maple Leafs Union, which I am a member of. I hope they'll like it! Thanks to MRNEONAPE at Liquid Designs for his brilliant tutorial in the Newbies forum :) And to Gallego for posting the tutorial! Oct. 20 2006 Today I also made a banner for the TML union. I'm not sure it will fit here though :)

Pavel Bure

Pavel Bure, last seen in NHL with the NY Rangers, is my all-time favorite hockey player. The first time I saw him play was for Russia at the Olympics in Nagano in 1998. He scored five goals in one game against Finland, I remember his blinding speed and unbelievable puck control. From that moment I was forever changed from a regular hockey fan to a Pavel Bure hockey fan. He was the ultimate as far as pure goal-scorers go, always able to find an opening in the defenses and getting where the puck was going to be. And on breakaways and penalty shots he probably was one of the most feared shooters a goalie could think of. Sadly, I'm writing all this in past-tense. Throughout his career, Pavel suffered knee injuries almost on a regular basis. It was only those that kept him from becoming an even greater legend than he is, and ultimately they forced him to retire far too early. When he played in the NHL he was arguably the best offensive player, in today's NHL he would have been the best. Inarguably. Unquestionably. Positively. I truly miss Pavel, hockey really will never be the same without him.

Is your life as boring as mine was?

Then I suggest you start reading Robert Jordan's 'The Wheel of Time'! It's the most awesome story ever told, better than LOTR, Narnia and every fairy-tale combined..... It tells the story of Rand, Mat, Perrin, Egwene and Nynaeve, a handful of youths from the Two Rivers, a quiet corner of the world where most people are farmers and sheepherders. One day an Aes Sedai comes to town, a woman with the ability to use the One Power to touch the True Source which is the world's life energy. The Aes Sedai, Moiraine, wants the youths to come with her to keep them safe from the grasp of the Dark One, the evil force of the world. When the town and nearby farms are attacked by the Dark One's minions, they have no choice but to flee and join the Aes Sedai and travel to Tar Valon, the headquarters of all the Aes Sedai. Along the way they encounter many dangers and they themselves are also changed physically from some of the events that occur on their voyage. If you are interested in reading, and fantasy in particular, you simply have to read the Wheel of Time. If you loved LOTR, you are going to want to marry these books, they are that good :) Eleven books so far, Mr. Jordan is ill from a heart disease so there may not be more, but a 12th book is under construction. We'll just wish him the best and hopefully he will make a full recovery.

Sundin scores goal #500

Mats Sundin, the Captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs, scored his 500th career goal against the Calgary Flames last night. Congratulations Mats, gratulerar så mycket! Full story here.

Patrick Thoresen scores his first career NHL goal

YAY!! Patrick Thoresen, a forward with the Edmonton Oilers, scored his first career NHL goal last night! As a fellow Norwegian I wish to congratulate him with this accomplishment, and hopefully we will see many more from this guy. Perhaps even some prettier goals as well :) The goal came about three minutes into the game, when Brad Winchester shot from the blueline and the puck bounced off Thoresen and a Sharks defender into the net.
