Im quite aware of the other english speaking territories like the UK. However How am I closed minded when half of you won't even wait for the console to come out to decide if it is successful or not?
what I said wasn't biased and I certainly don't enjoy guessing what the characters are saying to get any sort of plot and while I understand the game might be good It wouldn't help if I had to guess every name for every move the characters could possibly do.
Like it or not that's just how they do things and quite frankly I have no problem with it. I mean why take the time out of your day to learn a second language just to play one or two games? this won't make the wii u fail if anything did the NES fail? and it was region locked or How about the SNES? it won't matter region locked or not people are still going to buy it and anyone who dosn't think so is just being ignorant. and on a final note those developers who decide wether to keep a game to a specific region is their fault not the publishers.
Look we get it you like Angry Birds all because some of us think it is overrated dosn't mean we don't like it because it's popular if anything I find the game kind if boring after 3+ hours of playing and that is only the demo at my local wal-mart. And good for you it is free on your iphone but you know what? There is an old saying that says "you get what you pay for" and quite frankly comparing 3DS sales to Angry Birds or any other game on the iphone is just a excuse just to troll. so go back to playing Angry Birds and leave all of us who paid for quality entertainment alone.
Digital only isn't going to work I mean what happens if there is a black out? and you were playing a digital only console? Say good bye to all those game, to top it all off you also have to worry about internet connections, wether the the company will still support the game in question, if the game has a DRM. Physical will always beat digital
I would rather like to see a megaman anniversary collection rather then street fighter after all they are probably just going to release a 200 dollar collection in a few onths anyway
I think some people miss the point in order for this to be the next form of on disc DLC the game in question has to be successful! what if it bombs? is the company out x amount of money because of the production of the game and the figures? same case with the E-Reader for GBA it required you to use cards with a special dot code on them in order to access special features in some gba or gamecube games (mostly Pokemon) and guess what it failed two years later in The US so nintendo dropped support for it and a lot of games that supported it over their like Pikmin 2 and Pokemon Colluseum no longer supported it over here. I know it almost costs nothing to make cards but how about action figures I think i a game bombs using the skylanders method there is a much bigger drawback. and Wii U faving NFC technology I don't think is going to be used often.
I honestly don't see this being as exploited as much as DLC after all vide game developers are companys too do you even relize that it is way cheaper to lock out digital content rather than make said content into a physical item? Skylanders did it because it is marketed towards kids and it even was one of the best selling games of the last holiday season. I've seen the trailer for rayman legends and while it is the same idea it probably isn't going to be implemented as much because skylanders needs the figures for you to play said game.
