The Mario Kart games are always racing version of the mario adventure games. For example Mario Kart 64 is the racing version of Super Mario 64. Mario Kart: Double Dash!! is racing version of Super Mario Sunshine (sequel to Super Mario 64). When they make the sequel to Super Mario Sunshine (Super Mario Galaxy) then they will make the new Mario Kart. I live for Mario Kart. :)
