[QUOTE="j3ninja10"]im happy with my 8800gts 320mb at 1680x1050, can play any game on high. but if you want anything higher in resolution then the 320mb isnt a good choice cause it drops in performance dramatically when at higher resolutionsj3ninja10

Hi, if you have bioshock, how does it run? On High?

i do have bioshock and i do run it on high with dx10 mode on. I dont have a fps counter but i never see any low frame rates or skipping so i would guess that im getting 30fps and up.

the 320mb version performs the same as the 640mb on all resolution up to and including 1680x1050, anything after that you see a hit in performance

So I guess this card would play Obilvion without trouble?

Hi, I want to know for those you have dual boot, lets says xp and vista, do you have to:

1) install programs on both OS, can you have a single location for your programs?

2) how much space does both OS have, lets say 100GB for both

Thanks for any info!

Hi. Is it really necessary an 8800gtx for 1680x1050? Or 640mb or maybe a 320mb better?

[QUOTE="gamer082009"]Wow a 20-30% performance increase while using an 64bit OS with any dual core! Looks like I'm gonna have to get me Vista 64bit and dual boot 32bit also. So I think dual booting would be a good idea for allot of people like methat are interested in getting those % gains.gtarmanrob

lol why would you dual boot 32bit and 64bit Vista? no offense but thats stupid. Vista 64-bit OWNS 32-bit. i run 64-bit and have no absolutely no problems. everything seems faster and smoother too. plus games like HL2, Lost Coast and basically the Source engine take advantages of 64-bit. i even skipped on the idea of dual booting with XP simply coz Vista 64 is sweet.

cant wait for Crysis, i'll be running it maxed out @ 1680x1050.

Hi, Let me know what are your specs!

Hey thanks for the reply! I have a battle within me to go dual or quad and vista or xp. It's tough! I'm thinking in staying dual for now but maybe later qet a better quad, I'm trying to reach my $1500 budget!

[QUOTE="fred334"]If I was looking to get a new PC i would look at a Dell or the adjusting of the current system.spierdalaj666

sorry to break it to you but the OP seems to know what he's doing and paying for an overpriced dell is probably not up his alley.

As for that PC, it looks great, and as others have said if you can afford it, the GTX is probably the better choice. As for the CPU, it's really your choice. I'm not really sure when games will really start taking advantage of quad cores (barring crysis, of course), so the decision between the quad and dual core is a tough one. But if the price differential isn't that bad, i'd opt for the quad core.
