How to write a good game review.

I have to write this somewhere or I'll forget some of it, so here goes: What to include: Story: Write out the story for the game. If there is none, make one up, making it as comical as possible. Gameplay: How fun is the game to play, is it easy or hard, does it get old or boring after a while? Characters: Are they entertaining, annoying, fun, boring, comical maybe? Graphics: How detailed is the game, how do the characters look, are the other objects and backgrounds good? Sound: Describe the voices (Or lack of), sound effects, and music. Controls: Are they good, bad, responsive, awkward, just plain awful? What is the camera like? Multiplayer: Is there any? And if so, what kinds and how good/fast/long is it? Depth: How long is the game, how much fun is it to play after you beat it? Overall: What is the overall score? What is a good price for it?

A few things

One: I remembered I have played Mario Kart: Super Circuit, a friend owns it. Two: Today's game to review is Mario Kart DS Three: One day until Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games! Four: I plan on finishing my banner today if I can pry time away from cleaning the kitchen (Dishes, sweeping, etc.) and helping Dad replace the window.

Golden Mario in Kirby Super Star Ultra

I was playing Helper to Hero with Rocky in two-player, and was trying to show my brother the Super Mario Bros. brick, when I happened upon a golden statue of Mario. I took a photo of him with my mother's camera and will add him as soon as possible. It is a little blurry but not to shabby. I wonder if anyone else has found him? I have played for about thirty hours, so I don't know if anything along those lines affects the outcome of seeing him.

My Decision

I have decided something. Many people here are annoyed about my opinions on the game I prefer, so I won't say for the sake of it what I hate, just what I like. I will restrict criticizing games to my blog, unless they are criticized for technical problems, such as X-Men NES. For games I don't like due to the themes I don't like (Sensuality in Metal Gear and Grand Theft Auto, and gory violence in practically anything rated M), I'll just speak about when asked to. Me speaking about them in my blog is done.

Review Schedule

I have decided to review about one game a day, which means I should be done in a month or so with all the games I have played (See my posts "Games I have Played" and "I Forgot Some".

My First Review

I finally made level three yesterday and can finally review games. I Decided only to review DS games and the occasional PS2 or SNES game, because those are the only systems I own. Other than that, I have played very few games and don't expect to get any other systems. My opinion will tend to favor Mario, Sonic and Kirby, while not liking Niko Bellic or Snake (Two characters from series I don't like), but since I don't like them I have not played their games, and will not rate them. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games: October 13th, two days!

Impossible!!!

I cannot believe it, Lego Star Wars the Complete Saga for the PC! I can finally play a non-DS version. I just hope it doesn't stink.

I am bored.

I should be at level three by tomorrow, which I am glad about 'cause I want to review games, after level 3 I won't care as much about levels I guess.
