I am thinking of buying Rock Band 2 for PS3. I have the guitar hero 3 controller for PS3. I was wondering if this guitar will work for Rock Band or Rock Band 2.

I looked at xbox.com and found out that you can burn xbox 360 updates to a disc. I do not understand the procedure that microsoft gave since it came up to a mixed disc. Can anyone give me any simple steps on how to do this?
I wanna download this update but I don't have xbox live. I heard you can burn xbox 360 updates to a disc and install it on your system. Is this a safe method because I do not want to get RROD.
