"Perhaps"? You are making the presumption that we needed this low-cost labor in the first place. We didn't and don't. I live near the border and know first hand what has happened to our job markets. Tons of imported labor sent wages plummeting. This brought corporate construction companies into the market and they took a big piece of the market share, destroying small businesses. Cost of services went down due to competition, business owners like myself took a heavy pay cut as a result. Also, the competition forced the corporations to lower wages in order to stay competitive. Housing costs went way up (rentals) and basically any opportunity for blue collar workers dried up because of competition. I don't think you have any idea what you are talking about. You speak from theory and refuse to listen to those trying to tell you there is a problem. How many times have you had to write a post like you just did? When will open your mind?
Trump was pushing for $2,000. Dems wouldn't allow it and settled for $1,200. Pelosi comes along and vetos it just before it was voted and sent to the Senate (for instant approval). Lets now forget how much people needed this money and how long they had to wait after that.
I will have to see that extra $1,400 to believe it.
And Pelosi called $1200 "crumbs" yet thinks $600 is fine. Meanwhile my Governor in CA is fining me $700 for not having health insurance. And people wonder why I am not a Democrat.......
Biden: Nope. He cut jobs, eliminated our Energy Independence status...something I've never seen in my lifetime, and how does an open border help? Importing low-cost foreign blue collar workers is decimating wages and opportunities for workers already here.
Dems only care about their many agendas, they are activists, which has nothing to do with the economy.
My child...it is ALWAYS an agenda these days. Only Leftists file lawsuits because they are not getting paid enough.
Case in point: Uber/Lift company. 1st they made the case of how bad the taxi service was, how expensive it was, and how much better service they could provide.
They win the right to undercut and impose themselves onto the once dominated Taxi service.
THEN these drivers start to complain about their wages and benefits despite knowing this before they got the job.
THEN a new law is passed to give them more company benefits.
Now Uber is just like a taxi once was. Only more freaky depending upon who you get as your driver...hey just like a taxi except not!
The left goes in circles, problem is they wipe out a perfectly stable system to replace it with an imperfect system.
Stop...just stop...and the world win spin more smoothly.
Only the plaintiff is making such allegations. Step #1: File lawsuit, make allegations. Step #2: Biased media picks up the story, interprets it, misinforms its readers to gain support for their agenda (to make a big stink and get more web-visitors). Step #3: have a trial in which everyone has been misinformed ahead of time, verdict is passed and there goes quality games....
"""...a new entrant can benefit consumers by undercutting the incumbent’s prices..."
When market prices are undercutted, it sets a bar for all new entrants. This can and will lead to a plethora of poorly developed games. The likes of which hasn't been seen since the 80's.
Not getting paid enough? Quit your gripping and just move on.......
But don't expect this modern generation to have any clue about markets....they are currently wrecking blue collar job-markets as we speak and are very proud of it.
