@sakaixx: You could say that Nintendo will get the worst version nearly every time, but that only tells part of the story. Most of the time, developers won't even bother to port.

Of course it looks and performs worse on Switch than PS4, but that the Switch version gets owned by the PS3 version is surprising. It should look at least slightly better on Switch. Either poor programing or Switch is not even quite at PS3 level performance overall, bottleneck.

@Bread_or_Decide: Nintendo has 5 billion in the bank and is worth far more. They have sold billions of units of games and systems. Also, not all of Sony is dedicated to gaming. In fact, it should be easier for Nintendo since they have less corporate oversight and hoops to jump through.

@visforvictory: Modern Nintendo is all hype and no substance. Breath of the Wild is epic but is the only truly great game they released in nearly five years. They used to release more amazing games in a year than they now do in a decade. People love and care more about 1980's and 90's Nintendo. Aside from Zelda, Nintendo is past tense.

@RELeon: The prices on reseller sites have just doubled within the past 20 minutes, after Amazon sold out in seconds. Look for the average selling price to jump above 500 by Sunday. Nintendo is already getting tons of free press out of this. Boycott the CE even when it is easy to get. Nintendo has likely had at least 6 months from the time they decided to create the CE. They should have had millions of units in North America ready to stock upon release. Either they do this on purpose or they are incompetent.

@LpcWarrior: The cold hard truth is that this scalper will have no problem with selling at that price point today. This seller might raise their price 50-100 bucks after Amazon quickly sells out. 250-300 might be the going price by tomorrow. Better to wait it out.

@so_hai: The moment in time was the 80's. Many NES carts will continue be sought after a decade from now because only the real thing fully represents that. NCE will be long forgotten by then. NCE is emulation, dirty word, and the thrill that people might get from it might last a few weeks or months, but an emulated experience will never fully satisfy. You are right about that. Also it might be better to wait until Spring to get one, for like 30 bucks. By then so many people who received them as a gift, and may not be the biggest fans of Nintendo, will become bored and begin to sell them off in droves at great discounts. Most NCE are destined to collect dust after the initial thrill wears off.

How could MS turn their most important game into a pile of broken trash?

Of course the One is selling because MS is giving them away out of desperation. Most of those 10 million shipped Ones will be filling the backrooms and warehouses for the next year. PS4 will continue to find its way into actual homes at a higher rate. Besides all Sony needs to do is drop to 349, and PS4 will continue to outsell the One 2-1. Sony has yet to even release their 399 bundle. This is a small window that MS is exploiting, but it will close soon enough. When similarity priced, PS4 will continue to destroy. MS is racing to the bottom in terms of pricing, but they can only sink so low for so long before there is no where left to hide. A 349 PS4 with 2 free games will be seen as a much better value because the perception is that it is more powerful. Even the 399 PS4 bundle will own the One upon release. People are currently holding off in anticipation of the new PS4 bundle. It will surge PS4 units sells to levels not yet seen. In the end, the PS4 will outsell the One this holiday season, which is yet to even really begin. The PS4 will sell more than 100 million units, the One will sell fewer than half.
