There are alot of console gamers out there who would love to play the newest AAA games for the PC, but are unable to due to the high price of buying or upgrading to a high enough performing PC. I don't think these ppl are any less "hardcore" than their PC-playing counterparts.
There's no way Sony makes wins this generation unless it drops the price by at least 150 dollars within the next couple of months. As of right now, I don't see it even coming in second place.
The only people that could possibly NOT miss Sega are the kids weaned on Playstation. I remember when arguing about SNES verses Genesis was a huge topic at school...
I'm sick of Starcraft 2 Threads. YES Starcraft 2 will PROBABLY be the best game for 2008. Or it might be the biggest DISSAPOINTMENT. As far as I can see, it isn't super special like CoH, SupCom and WiC. Let see what Blizzard can deliever. Remember Infernal, Tiberian Sun, Daikatana etc etc... so much hype for nothing. Don't give high expectations for Starcraft 2 but hope for a great game from Blizzard.
Besides, all you Starcraft groupies, shut the **** up please.

I think the reason most people are hyping SC2 up so much is because Blizzard has never given us any reason to doubt them. The company has never made a non AAA game, and so I see no reason to start doubting them now, especially when it comes to one of the franchise crown jewels.
UT's de facto home is the PC. IMHO, playing it without the mouse and keyboard would feel unnatural , and would probably hurt your performance online if you're used to using the traditional M&K.
