Ok, the lack of proper punctuation and sentence structuring made that hard to read. So are you asking which of those elements I would be most willing to sacrifice in order to keep everything else in tact?

Scianix-Black

@Scianix-Black am sorry for the confusion i've been awak for 53 hours straight.what i meant is the opposite, i asked "if you have to choose one of this to keep it the way you like" in the poll and that mean you have to sacrifice the others

i'll fix it right away thank you :D

as you all knew FF XIII on the way "Mar 9, 2010 "and we all waiting to see how it goes.

if you've given the chance to choose what do you choose from this game elements in order to keep it the way you like ,and sacrifice the rest, what is the only thing that will make you go through it to the end , and you have to choose just one between this elements to keep it the way you like in your incoming game or lets say for exampleKingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep and Final Fantasy Versus XIII or any game you r waiting for what is your choice ?

I choose game play

first i thought i'll keep up the story but later i changed my mind the story it's what normally attract me but i remember how many beautiful stories lose the chance to be finished because of the game play like: Enchanted Arms and some of my friend couldn't finish Operation Darkness and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories those games had a good stories am sure many of you like the game play but also many hated it.

so i'll have to go with the game play . how about you?

well in my opinion number 1 playable character :i think Zack the best character so far if we consider the story "Zack is the reason why cloud joinedSOLDIERand his livable simplicity and his high spirit push Cloud Strifeto fight .

number 2 playable character :Vincent Valentinecause he is the only one who get rid of the seed of evil Professor Hojo at the end.

none playable character :i chooseAngeal Hewley.

Besides ARF and ToG (which are both great BTW) the Wii has...

  • Rune Factory Frontier
  • Tales of Symphonia 2
  • Little Kings Story
  • Monado: Beginning of the World
  • Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility
  • Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn'
  • Muramasa
  • Shiren 3
  • Monster Hunter 3
  • Fragile Dreams

and a bunch of VC RPGs.

finalstar2007

Hmmm I should try:

Rune Factory Frontier

Fragile Dreams

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn

the rest of the list doesnt appeal to me.

Fragile is the only game im trully intrested in on the wii :(.. i even have a trailer of it on my ps3 lol

am totally with you and i think i like your taste in games dont lose your faith in yourself, and stand for what you believe :)

The first one was pretty bad.

Lot's of features that never really got used, and what is it - 6 hours long?

I tried playing it again last year to see if it was better than I remembered it - it wasn't. One of the few purchases I regret, along with Unlimited Saga and Myst for the PS2.

GPAddict

The first was great. I have no idea where you get your info.

x2

Back then, it was a pretty cool game. Definately one I remember. I enjoyed it.

yeah i agree with you i played it on gamecube and ps2 back then it was a great game:)

@kieranb2000 wow take it easy, now am going to replay you using your method:

1. how old are you?(if we consider what you say(Highlighting your post like an excerpt from Zelda is rather annoying)is that how mature people talk?.

2.what do you mean by saying"Highlighting your post like an excerpt from Zelda" this my method since i was a kid i Highlight important words related to the conversation.?is that somehow offenseve to you.?

3.why you are hostile?did i offend you with something?

4.who talked about "Diablo"?????

5.who many RPG's did you play so far?..10,20, 40??

please check again what i said and think again before you speak, and dont throw people with random words, please show some respect ....this is a place of fun right..

kieranb2000

1. I'm 18, what does that matter? It is a tad off putting to highlight words 'important' to the conversation at hand, and no mature people don't talk by highlighting words. I was stating my opinion, if you aren't mature enough to understand that some people have different opinions from you then you also have no place to be talking down about other people's maturity.

2. If you look at the Zelda series one thing it is known for is highlighting names and other important things in different colours during exposition. No, it isn't offensive I simply stated it was a little annoying.

3. I wasn't hostile in the slightest, you are the one who has come off as being rather hostile and offended, I think maybe you misread my post or something?

4. I did, I was stating that Borderlands in an RPG in the vein of Diablo, and if you try to say that Borderlands isn't an RPG, you are arguing against all of that sub-genre of games, like Diablo, Sacred 2, etc etc.

5. I haven't kept count, but a lot, mostly older ones though, most RPGs of the past few years have failed to live up to the standards set by the oldies like Baldur's Gate and Fallout.

"please check again what i said and think again before you speak,"

I did check what you said before I posted, I think you need to check what I said though.

"and dont throw people with random words"Every word I used was entirely fitting for the conversation at hand, so I'm not entirely sure what you meant by this."please show some respect ....this is a place of fun right.."This is a place of fun, andtruly I'm sorry if I offended you somehow, but I don't see how questioning my maturity or claiming that I'm being hostile for making a point is showing me any respect?

@kieranb2000 oh am sorry if you get it wrong but at the start of my conversation i said am going to replay you using your method,

1.??????,,,2.??????,..3.????? etc

and yours was not friendly to me That's how i felt it when you at the first moment start to criticize my way of writing without even give a chance to ask way but you more interested by showing that you r teased by my highlighting thing even in your next replay you insist on repeating my words to overturn the situation maybe cause you more interested to win than making your self clear, and believe me it is much annoying when we run from work and people to gamespot to have some fun and see that all what you care about is criticizing, maybe i misunderstood you maybe you misunderstood but i going to stop this before it gets annoying to people here so am sorry sharpsgooter for the boring argument and am sorry to you my friend if you felt upset or something .

have a nice day..

You're right, Gamespot does mix things up. It depends on what your idea of an RPG is... Of course what an RPG is doesn't change depending on your opinion. A game doesn't need to have swords or medieval based stories to be an RPG. (Even the developers call Borderlands a Role-Playing Shooter.) Gamespot does call Borderlands a Sci-Fi Shooter, but that doesn't mean it is one. Several different gaming sites such as Team Xbox see borderlands as an RPG.

You earn XP doing quests and with your killings. You literally select your **** You have an inventory. As much as these are the specs of an RPG, it's also not. There are many games that contain these but they don't turn out to be Rpg's. Nowadays, it's hard to say what is an Rpg and what is not...

http://news.softpedia.com/news/My-RPG-of-The-Year-Borderlands-130356.shtml

ok ,but the game atmosphere is a pure shooting and earning XP and doing quests its not going to give it the same sensation, in RPG games earning XP make more difference to the player than this does, but in the end my friend who is going to like it and enjoy it the most RPG gamers or SHOOTER gamers and you said that the developers call Borderlands a Role-Playing Shooter yes in somehow its right but what i said its not an RPG game, more like when you say pop rock that mean it is rock music with some of pop quantities but still rock music and Role-Playing Shooter more like shooting game with some of RPG quantities but still more like shooting game right ;)

[QUOTE="_Sharpshooter_"] Uh dude Borderlands is an RPG.kieranb2000

i dont know man i am an RPG player since the Prime of RPG's name any RPG game you've heard of i've played it all, but this is more like shooter than RPG the atmosphere, gameplay, etc.. and even if they put some of RPG's quantities put the name of shooting will get the upper hand,,and i think you should ask more RPG gamers "the real deal of curse not the new gamers" about Borderlands if they agreed on the RPG thing or not.and on last thing even if gamespot sometimes mix things up but they name it Sci-Fi First-Person you can check it here...

1: Highlighting your post like an excerpt from Zelda is rather annoying. 2: Borderlands is an action-RPG. It is as much of an RPG as something like the Diablo or Sacred series.

[QUOTE="matastig"]

[QUOTE="_Sharpshooter_"] That is a really good advice. Thank you. But the thing is, since I already own both games, (Borderlands on PC and MW2 on the PS3) when that happens, I can go to the MW2 on the PS3 when I need a break from the RPG._Sharpshooter_

do you really consider Borderlands RPG?
