The somewhat controversial NFL Network appears to be gearing up for a Launch in the United Kingdom after a test broadcast was found on the Sky Digital Satellite Platform carrying NFL Network broadcasting data. NFL UK had stated pans to launch the channel over here this summer would be evaluated. If the channel launches as likely a joint venture between the NFL and the Fox corporate relative BskyB the channel would be available in 55% of homes more than its current availability in the US. It is not known if the channel will be Free to air or part of Bskyb's "News and Events" package which carries the UK version of the Network's potential partner ESPN Classic.
I don't much care for Bryant Gumbel anyway, but the only game I was able to watch on NFL Network was Packers/Cowboys, so this doesn't matter to me in the slightest.
