LoZ: Twilight Princess

So I just finished playing TP today and wow...that is one heck of a good game.  Only the second Zelda game that I have ever finished with the first being A Link to the Past.  This game goes on the top ten list at number 3 right in front of WC3 bumping everything down and knocking Ocarina of Time out.  It had a really interesting story and entertaining dungeons and boss battles for the most part (just not the temple of time...they pretty much just copied the tower dungeon from Windwaker).  The fighting was pretty easy, but that doesn't really bother me because the main draw of the game in my opinion is the puzzle solving.

1. Starcraft

This game is without a doubt the best game ever made for any system bar none.  I have spent more time playing this game than I have playing any other 5 games combined and that is including the 300+ hours I have spent on Counter-Strike/CS:S.  The main features that I like about this game are the completely different races which have totally different units and don't share any. *coughageofempirescough*  Even with all of the races being completely different, they are all perfectly balanced without any of them being the strongest if they are in the hands of a skilled player.  The best feature this game has though is the online multiplayer.  On B-net you can play games with anywhere from 2-8 people from anywhere in the world and you can choose to play either normal games or custom games.  These custom games, as in Warcraft 3, are what give the game an incredible amount of replayability.  With anything from a standard rts game to an rpg there is an uncountable number of custom games you can play.  The friends and chat channels system also works extremely well making it very easy to get into the same game as your friends and beat them up at a game.  It also comes with an easy to use map editor which you can use to create the perfect map to play with your friends.  All in all this, game has everything you could ever want and more and is still fun even though it has been out since 1998.

Sorry for the long delay in writing this, I went on vacation during the holidays and forgot about it once I came back.

Sorry for the messed up size of the font for half of this as well, it says in the editor that it is all the same size.

[Edit] On a side note although I did make a comment about AoE games I actually do enjoy them very much they just get boring after a while since each of the civilizations play essentially the same way.

2. Counter-Strike: Source

This game is by far the most fun and addictive shooter out there.  Don't get it if you don't have high speed internet, but if you do playing with other people online is the most fun you will ever have with a shooting game.  Valve has recently tried to ruin this game with its horrible idea of dynamic weapon pricing, but luckily nobody likes this so practically every server has it turned off allowing you to continue having fun the same way as always. and with a deagle that costs less than $20000.

3. Warcraft 3

This game is awesome if you can play online.  The normal game is pretty boring.  Custom games is where this game really shines.  The WC3 map editor allows you to do pretty much anything that you could ever want to do with this game.  It is basically a really easy way to mod the game.  DotA and the hundreds of custom RPGs made for this game are incredibly fun to play and you never run out of new ones because so many people make new maps because the map editor is so easy to use.

4. Super Mario Allstars

This is easily the greatest collection of games ever made.  Five of the most fun platformers all on one cartridge.  How can anyone not like Mario games?  The amount of New Super Mario Bros. games sold recently is a testament to just how fun 2D Mario games are considering that it is a formula from over a decade ago and it is still fun today.

5. Half Life 2

Absolutely the best storyline in a game ever.  No exceptions.  Half Life 2 has an incredibly interesting and compelling story which feels more like a movie quality story than that of a game.  Just to emphasize how awesome the story really is, by the time I got this game HL2: Episode 1 was already out, I finished HL2 on Friday night and the next morning I made my mom take me to Best Buy to get Episode 1 cause I needed to know what happened next.  It's just that good.

6. Super Smash Bros. Melee

SSBM is possibly the best multiplayer game ever made.  There is no game that is more fun when you have 3 other friends to play it with.  All of the great Nintendo characters fighting each other and using crazy items such as the fan and the baseball bat to knock each other off of the screen.  The only way to make this game better would be to add online support.

7. Halo: Combat Evolved

Halo is the reason there is an xbox 360 now.  Without it the xbox would have died and been nothing.  It is an extremely well done shooter with an amazing single player campaign(unlike halo 2) and great multiplayer(though not as good as halo 2).  Other reasons......masterchief is freakin cool.

8.TES4 Oblivion

First of all this game has a ridiculous amount of things to do in it.  You could literally play it for a couple hundred hours and still have more quests to do.  Second of all really, really fun.  Third of all huge improvement over Morrowind: no Cliff Racers, a map marker showing where to go, and did I mention that there aren't any Cliff Racers?

9. Metroid Prime

Metroid Prime was the first Gamecube game which I really enjoyed.  The part about this game that sticks out the most are the amazing boss fights.  Especially the multistage fight with the final boss which was ridiculously hard but fun.  Easily one of the best Gamecube games out there.
