The topic pretty much says it all. I have just come home from living abroad and I have the 60GB PS3 still unopened. I have a large CRT that can take S-Video but I also have a 20" Dell 2005FPW. It has VGA but also DVI, which I would prefer to use until I get a reAL HDTV.
you can buy a hdmi to dvi cable or a hdmi-hdmi cable and a hdmi-dvi adaptor, but you have to be sure that your 20" dell is hdcp compatible
What are my connection options?

amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The japanese and the american ps3 share the same encoded region A, so there shouldn't be any problem playing NA or Jpn blu-ray on your japanese ps3 but in the other hand european blu-ray wont work because it's region B. Just look at the back of the blu-ray box for the encoded region A, B or C if you want to be sure that it will work.

thanks a lot
I have got a japanese ps3.can I watch european and us blu ray movies?
I've pulled off my rgb cable and tried with the composite and the situation is fine.now the image is centred.but is there a way to adjust the image with the rgb cable? using the composite graphics are so similar to ps2!!
I live in italy so for me usa or japanes versions weren't so different.I've bought a japanese one since my ps2 broke and this way I can play all my old imports for ps1 and ps2 but also the new ones.I'm very interested in the hokuto no ken ps2 game that's coming out march 29th
hello guys
I have a ps3 japanese version and a 4:3 32" crt tv with standard definition and I use and rgb cable Firmware in the ps3 is 1.51.settings for display are correct with 480i definition and rgb cable.I have downloaded the playable demos of motorstorm,gt hd and formula one and I like all of them very much but I've got a problem
the image on the screen is shifted to the left so that for example in gt hd I can't see in the left the whole map of the circuit.is it a problem common to everyone because of these being demos or is it a problem with my tv?
the situation doesn't change if I change from 4:3 to 16:9
is there a way to move the image on the screen? i think there should be an option for this but I can't see it anywhere and can't find it in the japanese manuals
please help! thank you
