@gethewonderful: You need to know your stuff better before you make silly claims.
Xbox created cross play and has proposed cross play to Sony THIS YEAR. Just do a search for "xbox creates cross play". they have developed the whole system and its ready to go right now. Guess who is stopping it happening? Your beloved Sony.
@Jdzspace: "again, I'm not gong on personal opinion. I'm going in industry response, and I'm going by customer response. Usually E3 is used to build momentum going into the holiday season, as evident by all the games that were showed for Sony that are releasing this holiday season."
Dude please just stop now. Sony announced one single title for the holiday did you even watch E3? I'm not even convinced about The Last Guardian yet seeing as the trailer for it seems to - largely - focus on the same animation shown in last years E3. The Last Guardian, by the way, is JRPG and nobody really cares about it except you PS guys because it gives you something to shout about.
You are right though E3 builds momentum going into the holiday season. Xbox has a new console with 4K blu-ray for less than $300, Gears 4, Horizon 3, Recore and more. Sony has a giant Japanese dog-bird and a really annoying shouty kid. I'm sold.
Horizon 2 launched with a possible user-base of around £16,000,000 Horizon 3 will launch with a possible user-base of around £250,000,000
What you seem to forget is Microsoft is a SOFTWARE company. Lets say they double the amount of sales of Horizon yet at the same time have to make less hardware - because they shot themselves in the foot right? They win in one hand and they win in the other hand. The release of these consoles isn't about profit, consoles never are about profit, that's the job of the software.
Forget consoles and forget exclusivity. Microsoft are changing the game and taking it down a route Sony cant follow. Everything you think you know is completely irrelevant, out of date and a little bit dumb.
@turianshepard: That's a fairly sweeping statement.
97% of those PC gamers users are using Windows machines - including myself - so there seems to be a slight problem with your comment. And you don't buy Xbox games through the store they are available through the Xbox App which is great.
@louixiii: Are you 6 or something? Your problem is you can't see past that box under the TV. Xbox is no longer like the Playstation. Its become a marketplace. Xbox on PC is just an option like Steam and Origin. If you think a PC gamer won't grab a copy of Gears 4 or Horizon 3 because they don't like the Windows store you're greatly mistaken. An Xbox exclusive isnt dependent on the machine its played on, it just means its only available in the Xbox marketplace. Exactly the same principle as Steam and Origin exclusives.
And just for clarity :- Xbox games are available directly through the Xbox App - WHICH KICKS ASS. No need to use the store. Maybe you should try knowing what you're talking about next time.
