As most have posted, upgrade your video card, an 8400 is not going to cut the mustard. 8800gt might help. Even then though your ram is a bit low and your dual core aint the fastest. The only other option I can think of is to check your bios drivers. I had a lot of issues with my pc until I squared the bios away. That's what you get for building yourself though:) Unfortunately I don't know what kind of motherboard you are running to lend any help.

Anyway as another person said, don't hate on me for pointing out the card and CPU issues. Hopefully what I posted might help, especially considering you are having crashing problems. Also consider upgrading your motherboard chipset drivers as this can also eliminate problems.

Hi,

I too would like to know a way to set my 5.1 up. I have just purchased an Xbox 360 Elite with HDMI. My 5.1's do not have HDMI and I do not want to buy another set. I do not have the HDMI cable yet as it was missing from the box. I have requested they send it to me but will I be able to use it and is it any clearer than the hd composites I have in now?

Streborj

The short answer. HDMI will be vastly clearer than any form of composite. Just a query though, what do you mean by your 5.1's do not have HDMI? A bit confused at this end

It's the heat mate. I live in Australia, we have temperatures around there in summer and my PC almost kills me with the noise. The PS3 is the same, lot of hardware crammed into a very small area. Make sure it is ventilated (ie not crammed into a confined spot) and cool the room you are in a bit. It is fine, it's just trying to protect it's innards :)

something i like to know is, i know you can upgrade the memory, but how do you do it? do you just buy 2 laptop HDD and put them in yourself or do you need a somputer tech to do it?monkeyd_93

No mate it is easy, the instructions are in your PS3 manual at the back. Buy a SATA laptop HDD (go with a 5400rpm it is cheaper) then just follow instructions. There are stacks of posts on the web and GS also did an article about how to do it in their tech section.

Good luck mate.

As to most of the posts, yeah you will have to send it back. But you WONT lose all of your game saves, back up the system onto a large flash drive (4 - 16BG) before you send it in then just restore the system when you get it back.

They will work. It is just s matter of if they will break or not. :) Essentially to put it in real layman terms, HDMI is a digital input. Unlike analog which the signal travels over a spectrum (way too complicated to explain here) HDMI is either on or off. There is either a signal between the two devices or there isn't. Expensive cables do not improve this signal or make it stronger or better or anything. As long there is signal there the cable will work. Hopefully that explains it. Good luck

If you like a tough game, then I can definately recommend Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Fantastic. Also Assassins Creed is fantastic if you don't have it already.
