Oblivion update

I've figured that with certain major skills that it makes it easy to level up. I'm currently a level 6, but could easily be higher. I've read that it may not be the smartest thing to level so fast using the major skills such as conjuration. Important skills such as strength get neglected and since the enemies level as you do, this is a bad thing. Anyway, I'm really excited about the potential this game holds and will have to learn to limit my gameplay so I don't waste too many hours.

No more 360 but I still have Oblivion

Yes, I sold my xbox 360; actually, I sold both of them. I regret it a little, but I'll just buy another when Halo 3 comes out. I, thankfully, have a pc that can run Oblivion at medium settings. It's a truly amazing game. It kind of has that WoW feel (vaguely), but without the mmorg part if that makes any sense (it's not online). I've only been playing for around 7 hours, and it really keeps me coming back. I'm still wanting more abilities to reward me for leveling. Considering that I'm only a lvl 3, there's plenty of time. I'll have more updates on my experience in the future.

World of Warcraft patch 1.9

I really don't know what to think of it, yet. At first, I really disliked it. My current character is a 35 Paladin and at this level, I thought it would completely suck. I've given it alot of thought and actually, I'm starting to like it. I can have most of my current favorite abilities besides Divin Favor (which I'll just have to wait a bit longer to get again). No matter what changes that were made, somebody is going to be mad. This is my the build that I'll have at my current Level. Link

After this, I'll proceed with 31 talents in holy so I can get Holy Shock. It's going to make things interesting. The WoW servers are down so I can't post on their forums. I really want to go over there and share my wisdom. As I've been typing this, I've started to get really excited about the possibilities. Let's consider our potential. In the Holy tree, we lose Divin Favor at first and many will lose it for ever because of it's requirements; however, we gain a 10% mana increase which I think is fantastic. Considering the mana increase along with keeping spiritual focus and healing light, it's simply a positive thing. On the retribution side. Bendiction stays the same which is nice but we also still have Seal of Command. I've come to the conclusion that it's possible for the current update could have a negative impact on some but it has tremendous potential especially for the route that I'm taking.

I have a decent idea of what my "end game" build might be. Link I think it's a very strong build. Many might ask why didn't I use Eye for eye and I'm still considering this spell. It seems primarily geared toward PVP where I'm primarily PVE. However, I may still consider this as an option later on.

Work came early this morning

I had to be at work an hour earlier this morning because of the holidays, and I'm pretty tired.  I also worked a longer than normal shift yesterday. The Texas/Colorado and USC/UCLA games are on today, and I'll actually get to watch them both. My wife is coming in to work early for me because I worked extra late last night for her.  Now, I'm need to figure out how to squeeze in some World of Warcraft.

World of Warcraft

I'm on the verge of calling this the best game of all time. It has the ability to consume souls. lol That sounds really funny. I really believe that it's one of the most addicting games ever. This is a very good thing for those that can controls themselves because it means that each session is extremely enjoyable. Now, for those who can't play in moderation, I feel sorry for them because their school, job, and family are probably being sacrificed.

I'm typically the type of guy who plays FPS's on pc's and consoles. Well, actually, I've really started to diversify my gaming. With my education and passion for gaming, I ought to apply for a job at gamespot. I'm just kidding. I'm really not full of myself. Although, I did use the word "I" a lot in this paragraph. Back to my blog. A Dwarvin Paladin is my new character. Redninja (that's his name) is currently a 32 and on his way to more delightful means of travel. Yes, a mount comes a lvl forty. He's really fun to play contrary to what many believe. Paladins are often considered boring and rather dull. His role in the world fits me quite nicely. Although, who wouldn't want more DPS to go along with decent healing.

The Xbox 360 Funny and Frustrating Story

Here's my situation. I preordered my Xbox 360 back in the beginning of June which one would think would be early enough to get one on launch day. I got a call from EB about one week before launch telling that I was only a few back (four to be exact) from being on the first shipment. This was a little disappointing, but then the guy told me if I paid it off in full that it would increase my chances of being moved up to the first shipment. I didn't understand how this worked, but I came in and paid it off anyway.

Here's where the story gets strange. I know the guys in EB pretty good because I'm in the mall all the time. I manage two stores in the same mall so I usually stop by and chat. A guy shows me the list of Xbox 360 preorders which has tons of names on it. The EB is only getting in 36 but apparently something happened to four of the hard drives so the shipment was cut to 32.  I'm number 40 on the list. It looks like I'll be number 8 (if the hard drive problem is true); however, he said that I could be moved up to the first if people cancel. As he looked across the sheet, it looked as if a minimum of 10 -15 people had canceled. I truly believed that this had moved me up to the first shipment and the guys at EB confirmed this as well, but they couldn’t promise anything until launch day.

The day before launch finally arrived.  Why is this day so important? It's because my EB is hosting a midnight launch. To jump straight to my point which most have already assumed by now, I didn't make the first shipment. How? I have no idea. Part of me truly believes, they called up their buddies and said, "I can move you guys up, a lot of people canceled." I know that's against policy, but I simply can't figure out how 15 people can cancel and not move me up 4 to 8 spots.

I gave this whole launch screw up some thought and came to a justifiable conclusion. I paid a premium system off in full. After the cancellations, I may have only been moved up to a core system so I suppose they didn't call me because of this. The store should have at least given me the option. I would have turned the core system down but it still upsets me if this theory is true.

There is good news to this story, but then it turns sour again. I decided that I would try and get one from Wal-Mart at midnight. I had no idea what time to get there. At first, I asked if my wife would get there and stand for me around 8:00 pm until I got there a little after 9:00.  She already had a plan to check it out around 4:30 and there were already 22 people in line. I couldn’t believe that this many people were already in line. After I saw the lines that formed at Bestbuy, Circuit City, etc… that night, I would soon understand.  She went and bought some snacks and went back to be number 26.  I'm very thankful for her.

The awesome part happens to be that the Wal-Mart got 30 premiums. Yes, I got a Xbox 360 that night and I played it like crazy for a few days. I was telling a buddy of mine how Xbox 360’s were selling on EBay like hotcakes and going for a lot of money. He asked, why don't you just sell yours? To make a long story a little shorter, I put it on a 24hr auction and sold it. I didn't make a ton of money, but after shipping, it got me about $703. Considering that I paid about $430, that's not too bad.

The bad part happens to be that no one knows when the second shipment is coming in. I was expecting it to be the day after thanksgiving because of something an EB manager told me. We all know that he was wrong. I called the other day and asked what number that I was now. The guy said number 7.  Now, if you've been keeping up with my story, that's not mathematically possible. It's not even possible if every person in front of me got their Xbox 360 which we know isn't true. I understand that I can't listen to what many of those guys say, but it’s still frustrating.  I went in yesterday and one of them said that I was number 3.  All I can do is laugh and wait. It really looks like I'm obviously on the second shipment, but after all this mess. Who knows? I’ll post an update and let everyone know if I get to play all these games that I bought soon.

My Journals are back

It's so weird. One day they all dissappeared and a week later they're back. I guess it was just a glitch. Did anybody else have this happen to them?
