maybe the answer would be bringing huge amounts of ps3 into latin america but still if there is no support from sony or microsoft in the continent, the prices will always be this high,

 The thing is... here PS2 (like in the rest of the world) is the console, every one who has a console easily owns a ps2.

 ps3 is a different matter, its way too expensive for the latin american market i think, maybe they will lower the price someday but...its tough. and for blu ray... sooner or later they will crack it i believe, but cant be put to great use here in argentina because high definition is new and very expensive.

i was seriously thinking in buying a ps3...but then i changed my mind and bought an xbox 360 ... , lots of people already play cracked xbox360 games here, but anyway i prefer not to mod it because playing online is oh so great, so great..

 they are both nice consoles, and sony is the king here... but who needs it when i got xbox live and gears.

right now i prefer paying 2200 pesos for an xbox 360 instead of 3000 plus pesos for the ps3...way too expensive (hate the blu ray)
