The game is impossible as a Monk in my situation. So lame. Blizzard has become quite sad.
This might help you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fEoUKqg6SdACurrently progressing through Act 2 slowly, I completely changed my playstyle to gadgets and survivability. No Smokescreen, no Prep. I'm also doing something "blasphemous" by using 1h xbow + shield with my Demon Hunter. I still have my quiver, but i barely use it. The shield I use also gives +10% Elemental Arrow so it makes my Frost Arrows stronger.
My survivability in Act 2 has changed from getting 1 shot from the mosquitos, to being able to withstand 6-7 of their projectiles. Albeit my damage isn't that good, I was able to get the Kill Butcher under 2 minutes achievement while being able to tank through his chain attack (takes 3 shots of that to kill me, as opposed to the 1 shot that I was suffering with a while back in this thread).
With 5000 Armor, Reflect Damage is nothing now for my Demon Hunter. I can continuously administer damage to those elites without hurting myself by much .
Overall, changing my gear to a bit more tank-ish (I still have to kite, I can't hold my ground even though Dodge and Block proc quite often) yielded a funner experience and now I'm just taking my time, farming act 1, selling anything ilvl 60 and below, salvaging the rest and keeping the really good ilvl 63 stuff to sell on AH. Whenever I feel like conitnuing, I continue with Act 2, reached Blood and Sand Quest already.
My stats now: 40k HP, 5000 Armor, 26k DPS, 190-250 resistances. Since I opted more to survivability, my crit chance and dmg are quite low. 17.5% chance and 68% dmg.

your build won't help him as inferno is quite a lot easier to progress as a demon hunter. My buddy plays DH on inferno and two shots the butcher haha. Monk being a melee class needs a lot different setup. I have 920 resist with buff on my monk and I need every bit of it, where as your 250 resist is fine for you since you're range. Demon hunter is a great farming class. I'm trying to get one up to 60 now, just 10 more levels. its so simple to kill stuff vs Monk. DH does so much damage. its a fun class.
