Hey guys, I just bought silent hunter III from steam. When I go to launch it it gives me that Error "cannot initialize 3d engine" . I have Windows 7.

I am really new to PCs and PC gaming so any help is appreciated. Sorry for the boring thread.

Hwy guys, I finally got my computer tonight. It did not come with any anti virus softeare. Can someone suggest a good program that they like? Also if anyone can tell me some things I may want to download that monitors Cpu temps etc I would really appreciate it. Bascially any must haves. Thanks in advance.

Those are some good parts. I think it should handle all games for the next couple of years.

Thanks, I have no doubt. I am thinking of ordering another 5850 for my rig now and putting it on when my comp gets here. If I order it now it will be here a day before my computer does. I dont exactly know why but I just want another one. Is there a marked improvement in performance? FPS?

Thanks man. I was actually just seeing what people thought, ie. if I needed a stronger PSU etc. People are too funny. I wasnt asking anyones opinion about my actual purchase.C'est la vie. I just can't wait to get it. I am missing playing my new games. :p
