I found this Gamespot guide to be quite useful.

I opted for a slow levelling warrior.

If you are only renting, you may want to try the fast levelling mage. (on the previous page of the guide)

Wow! That sounds like a PR statment from a Microsoft xbox fanboy if I ever saw one. Prepare yourself to get PWNED! Ready?

1) Blu-ray will NOT die (Blu-ray Disc Sales Surpass One Million Mark).

2) Since when is a console's live 5 years? Are you going by Microsoft standards? Sorry. But for Sony we're talking TEN years at least! Want proof? The PlayStation was launched in Japan on December 3, 1994, the United States on September 9, 1995, Europe on September 29, 1995, and Asia-Pacific in November 1995. On March 23, 2006, Sony announced the end of production. That's an 11 year production run.

The PS2 was released in Japan on March 4, 2000, in North America on October 26, 2000 and in Europe on November 24, 2000. What year is it now? Hint: 2007. How many years is that? Seven! How many PS2 have been sold? Over 120,000,000! Has Sony stopped production yet? I think not. In fact the PS2 has sold more than any console in monthly sales last month. What was that about "five years console lifespan?"

3) HDTVs will come down in price. And more people will be able to aford them. See link: 28-percent of Americans now own an HDTV

4) HDMI cables do not have to cost $50.00. They cost as low as $7.00 at monoprice.com. Or $14.95 at Kmart. And $26.95 at Walmart.

5) Blu-ray movies do not cost $30-$50. They cost $19.95 - $29.95. And less used. Multipacks cost more. But that's understanable.

6) The PS3 has sold over 3 MILLION!

7) 8.6% is the percentage the respondents rose to. It's not about market share or sales. It's about mindshare from 2006 to now.gizmo_logix

I love it. Factual, efficient, and oh yes...pwnage.

Depends what type of character you're interested in building.

Sorry to break your bubble, but in 2011 there will be a new next gen system...

hellfire9988

That's fantastic. Perhaps you can rejoice about it over in the Xbox360 forums or System Wars?

Pwned. (If the story is true). BTW.. Its pretty much how it is around here.. If you say something that barely comes across as non pro Sony, you will get flamed. I openly admit I dont have a PS3, and that alone gets me in hot water around here. Some members (PS3 owners) PM me telling me they agree with what I say from time to time, but are afraid to say anything on the boards cause they dont want to get flamed, or banned. I say, if you feel you want to express your opinion on here.. go ahead, there are lurkers that agree, but don't want to speak up. I was a major fan of the old Warhawk on PS1 and was personally dissappointed about the news that it was multiplayer only. I think the vids look good, but nothing great.. I however have no idea how the game will turn out based on these facts. When the time comes and it feels right for me to get a PS3, this is a game that I was interested in playing, but as of right now I have lost that interest. Mark my words.. if anyone responds to my post, they will flame me even though I have given a very harmless opinion. If they dont (mdl207 & Trek5200 most notibly) I will be suprised.Cellien

You are on a roll today. I can respect a lack of interest in a game. I'm not so blind as to believe that all games that come out for the PS3 are worthy of endless praise.

Of course, the comments that do get you into hot water are the mindless bashing ones. But hey, we all have our frustrated days.

:D

[QUOTE="Worley12"]People act as if this is the first time sony upgrade their consoles. DO I need to remind anyone about the numerous upgrades the PS2 had?Worley12

a) Not done in Year 1

b) Those changes were mostly minor and limited to the inside of the system (manufacturing changes to cut costs or eliminate old problems...NOT to add functionality)

All in all, if the 80GB HDD is the only thing added, I don't find it to be a big deal.

If this is just the 1st in a long line of functional add-ons, then I won't be so happy. If I wanted hardware that would be outdated within 3 months of me getting it, I'd have stuck with PC gaming.

Here are some of the changes and it does not matter when they took place. Added DVD-r support, added sensor for remote, slim model had ethernet ports, added dvd progressive scan.

Class, please raise your hand if you find any of those changes to be significant with regards to gaming.

Wow, either my class is filled with amputated students or you've just listed insignificant items.

I'd bet on the latter.

Of course they were insignificant for you. Being able to play back DVD-RW and DVD progressive scan was a big deal to many.

I'd go with no when my $50 DVD player has the same functions.

Holy smokes (which can own subzero :P )! We agree again!

Today is one of those rare days where are in agreement on many topics :D

And I'd say Scorpion could own Subzero. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a picture of him throwing his spear whilst shouting, "Get over here!" so I went with those cooler (pun intended) shot of Subzero.
