A slap to every game developer out there who are trying NEW things, starting games from scratch, building worlds, ideas and stories instead of offering titles that are basically mods. Also another reason gamers like myself are visiting these type of sites less and less. The discussions are boring and the viewpoints are so buried in their basements its laughable.

"Can sometimes feel a little too familiar" i can thing of a dozen games this year that were blasted in reviews on that statement alone, but once again the Nintendo rule is in effect. Good to see new gen media is same as old gen media. No matter what Nintendo does, however tired, do not criticize or score like others. im not saying this is a bad game, and its not, but to continually ignore the same rules that are applied to other series not only makes you look paid, but is disrespecting to game developers who build games from the ground up as oppressed to the copy/paste of Nintendo franchises.

I had the same feeling when the last generation was announced. Nintendo IMO is nothing more than a mod developer releasing DLC content at full price year after year after year.......nothing is special about this company. How about game sites spend more time on indie developers, publishers, or just the guys making games in their basment instead of another Mario, Zelda story(talk about yawn). All i can say is thank god for Steam, Sony and Xboxlive becasue without that trio this industry is DOA.

Tom, some ideas on how you could have phrased your Nintendo announcement:

This announcement was as expected as a Lindsy Lohan court date.

This announcement was as expected as a Call of Duty Nov release date.

This announcement was as expected as Nintedno discussing a new Mario or Zelda game. ooops.

This announcement was as expected as Apple releasing a new iPhone and I pad.

You get the idea.

Sounds like target practice. Yea, i went there. Im not soft like this country has become. I have played games for 30+ years, never been out of work since i was 13, and have ZERO debt. Not bad for a high school graduate. I didnt need the governent telling me what i could watch, read or play to know what is good and evil. It was installed by my parents. Its sad seeing the sheep of this country who keep thinking elections will solve their problems, hows that working out for ya? Of course, unless your out of work(they are extending unemployment again). And then the sheep will all gather around for a big circle jer, with fuel provided by the not paid for media and sing kumbaya my governemnt, kumbaya. **** em all let god sort em out.
