Wow, didn't realise that people actually WANTED GHIII, rock band is by far the superior game.
What you fail to realise is that you don't NEED to buy all the perephrials, you can buy whatever you want, and use the GHII controllers. It's basically three games in one, guitar/bass, drums, and singing. You can also merge all of them online or locally or a mix of both to start your own band and rock out together. There is no question that Rock Band is the superior game.

I guarantee that Dragonforce kills no less than three dozen people with rock the day GH3 is released. Rock band won't even put anybody into a coma.
if i played halo, i would be pissed that this thread doesn't warn you about spoilers. say i was playing the game, his face is a big deal, and because of this thread i know it doesn't happen, with no warning at all. way to think.
i would even rename the thing.
bolts and telekenisis. when he shoots stuff fire it back at him, also throw barrels at him.
when you get a shot, the crossbow is your best friend.
i'm aware that there is somewhere around 50,000 threads about bioshock on these boards, but they all seem to be saying it's the best game ever, the most overrated game ever, or asking whether or not they should buy it.
that's not what this thread is. and i in no way expect it to become a big thread, but i felt like i should make it all the same.
i got bioshock on the day it came out. in fact, i woke up early to go get it, since i was moving that day and i wouldn't have time to get it later, so i got up super early and had to have the lady at the store dig it out of a box in the back.
i played it and liked it, not loved, but liked. i got a few hours in and i let one of my housemate's play while i was at class and i got back and he had saved over my file on accident. i was not pleased and got discouraged and didn't really pick it up again until a few days ago, and i can say that i am enjoying it quite a bit more now than i did before. i'm taking in all the small details and taking my time and be careful to absorb everything and i think that bioshock might be the first great game in a long time.
is it perfect? no, but it's the first story driven game that has really got me thinking about it long after i turn it off. it's the first game i've played in years that has me more interested in the story than just getting high score or getting to the end. i find myself falling in love with the tragic beauty that is rapture and i want to know all of her secrets, but i don't want the game to end. make no mistake, bioshock is all about rapture.
why make this thread? i'm not asking a question, or reviewing a game or anything like that. i'm just thinking out loud in a place where i hope somebody will get what i'm saying, and maybe somebody on the fence will give it a shot after reading this. but the odds are that this thread will more or less immediately sink (pun intended) amongst the thousand other threads talking about the red rings of death and how halo 3 will be terrible.
