@mjonk2pc: It still has a Blue ray player that I don't need. Why can't the player be an external option? Make the system smaller and cheaper for those who only want digital downloads and streaming. There is no reason for me to own a disc so I don't need a player.

I don't want to pay for a 4K player. It will not make bad games any better. I have not used a disc version of a game in 2 years and don't even like having to pay for a DVD player in my PS4 or XB1. I think it should be an external option for those who want it. I have nothing against those that want a 4K Blue ray player, but I should not be forced to pay for a feature I do not want or need.

Netflix is already streaming 4K content and Amazon and other will soon follow. My collection of 300 DVD movies have been collecting dust for about 2 years now. I am not about to start buying 4K discs that will just collect dust. I can watch Amazon, Netflix and Hulu movies anywhere in the world on any device. I am not about to carry my collection of discs with me and I cannot even watch those on a tablet or my laptop. I have not used a DVD on my laptop for over 3 years, and my new laptop does not even have a DVD player in it. A brilliant move by Apple. So get rid of the 4K player and just make a better system. I can download and play my collection of video games on any PS4 in the world, including the one in the game room in my hotel in Maui because I don't have to carry them around on discs.

If they take out the player, increase the HD capacity, and lower the price than I will buy both the Pro and the Scorpio, because they both will have good offerings.

@maximimon: I heard that MS removed Kinect from XB1 in order to lower the price because it was not selling just fine at $500.

@Patrickmahan: Not necessarily. They have teams working on different stages of game development simultaneously. They are in the final stages of development for HZD with only 5 months to go. According to Guerrilla Games, they began developing Horizon Zero Dawn in 2011, three years before releasing Shadow Fall. So they were developing Shadow Fall and Horizon at the same time, and they will have enough resources to continue that development model if Horizon is successful. In fact, they are developing Horizon only because they have been successful with Killzone so its not all bad.

KZ may not appeal to everyone, but it has its fans including me and I would like to see a new one. I enjoyed the last three games.

@ahpuck: Why would you care if they make another Killzone? A lot of us love Killzone, and you don't have to play it.

I hope this is a success so they can afford to make another Killzone installment.

I am amazed how people are swayed by marketing hype. With all the information available on the internet, and the experience of ever purchasing anything why can't people just read for themselves?

I could understand if this was the first game they purchased, but there are thousands of posts on this site for many games and comment from people swearing they will never pre-order again because the game they purchased did not live up to its hype. Come on. Read the box or the digital download description before you plunk $60 for a purchase. It quite clearly states it is a single player game.

Try renting first, or waiting for the review, or learn how your grandparents don't buy anything without serious contemplation first of whether it is a good buy. When you make pure emotional decisions to purchase it rarely turns out well, and any decision based on marketing hype is purely emotional.

That being said. I rented from Gamely first and enjoyed the game enough to buy it. I am enjoying moving from solar system to solar system exploring planets and moons and observing the infinite patterns of lifeforms and scenery. The game will find a following of people who enjoy it.

In my opinion I think it helped the PS4 brand because I enjoy the game.

@Thanatos2k: Call of Duty are still very popular even though there is a faction of COD haters. I think it is quite challenging to make a game that a group of people will not hate. They should not try to make a game that everyone loves. That's why you may want to rent games first.

@mboettcher: Enjoying a game for 20 hours works out to a great game. It takes me less time to finish Assassins Creed or Uncharted. Only multiplayer games have longer lives and this was definitely disclosed as a single player game on the box and on the digital download site at the time of purchase.

The cinematics and acting were very good, however the game itself was so simplistic and linear and much less than the previous games in the series so hard to see a 10/10, other than the huge amount of advertising of the game on this site. I would like to find a site where reviews are not tainted by advertising dollars.

As a movie it was nice to look at but the storyline and plot too simple. It walks you through he few puzzles and there was just nothing innovating in the gameplay. Uncharted 2 was far better as a game. I doubt I would play this again so replay value is limited. I think it was dumbed down and focused on being an interactive movie with a straightforward plot so it would be more addressable to the masses. Last of the series so it was popularized to get the most sales. I doubt I would buy a sequel to this.
