$60?!? It's only $47.99 for Amazon prime members ;) Joking aside, it just depends how compelling the game is overall. If you don't like exploration the game isn't going to work for you. If you don't think it's worth the pricetag don't buy it. I'll most likely see what the reviews say and make a decision then.

No, I have a DS Lite and a PSP 2000 and although both were fun I don't really want to carry another device besides my smartphone these days. If that's the case I'm basically playing it around my house and then I'd rather play on a console. Sony tends to try to push full fledged console games that are playable on a handheld, but that poses it's own challenges. This makes a ton of problems. It's tough to replicate their flagship series on handhelds. Also, if I truly want the system to be something that I pick up and play on the go, the games have to have save systems designed for just that. Another issue seems to be garnering enough support from other devs for the system. PSP had enough to justify a purchase for me, but I literally only own about 10 titles. I think only a phone hybrid would make me want one and that would bring up other problems......battery life and form factor to name a few.
Become 3rd party. I don't even think Nintendo can garner enough support to bring strong 3rd party support back. Even when the Wii was on top, only a handful of quality 3rd party games were made for it. I like Nintendo's creativity when it comes to designing their consoles and their 1st party games, but they're way too comfortable with having underpowered consoles and lacking network features that MS and Sony carry standard. Not sure how much longer I'm willing to buy a Ninty console for only their titles.
Sure seems like Xbone is the one that needs a console seller and if Halo 5 doesn't ignite some major sales numbers, not sure if anything will.
