I feel bad for yall, a bunch of gamers who think they know about rap, i cant wait till yall get off this unions pen15 and realize that yall dont know ish.elpooz
why can't you respect other people's opinions? you seem to be so sensative about that and when you can't win an argument or people don't agree with you you result to posts like this? lame, from the looks of it you're the one that doesn't know anything about rap

hypocrite ftl!!

"its not the skill an artist has, its the way that artist uses his skill to make an impact"- elpooz

You said that earlier in the thread. So first you say "its not the skill an artist has" but later you change your mind and reverse your opinion saying "I'm basing his spot on skill." Can you stop contradicting yourself...

...and weezy has only had 3 albulms no duh he hasnt had a classic

elpooz

If Lil Wayne has never released a classic how can he be a top 5 greatest rapper of all-time? He hasn't achieved anything then...

Jay-Z, KRS-One, Big Daddy Kane, Nas, Rakim, Ice Cube, Biggie.... that's just naming a few who have released classic solo albums, something Wayne hasn't done yet, and what would automatically make all of them great rappers than Weezy.

Im basing his spot on his skill, not his achievements...And even if ya dont like it, he was only puttin out half of what he has in his mixtapes and his albulms, and he made him self a clear threat to most major mcs...

how can he be a legend if he can't translate that skill into a classic album?

LMAO weezy spreads the message the best

Hes basically a voice for the hood, he brings the reality of ghetto and hood life to the eyes of his listeners, and he brings a raspy flow never seen before, and a realness to the game, that few other mcs bring along.

and Dmx, son X brought hood life in to the game and showed every1 wat really reppin ure hood was about, and what being a g was really about, cause when he came out most mcs were tryna go along with wu tang and nwa, and tryna be on all that gangsta rap, but a lot of em were fake, X used his message to set them straight, and in a way clense gangsta rap of its fakes, and as for what he brings, and incredible flow and delivery that nearly shakes whoevers listening.

elpooz
yea but there have been other rappers out there that "speak for the hood", depict images of of ghetto life or talk about being a g and they do it a lot better than DMX or weezy

And em, if u were to take all his realest tracks and spread them out on to 2 albulms, ud have 2 of the greatest albulms ever made, maybe THE greatest, with the right tracks, if u look past all the whack ish hes done...hes made about the same amount of ill tracks as big Lelpooz
well if you take the best of nas', jay's, dre, KRS' and Rakim's songs over a couple of CD's each one would have a better catalouge then em so that point's irrelevent

[QUOTE="mems1224"][QUOTE="elpooz"]And for all u weezy and kweli haters....just to let yall know....jigga even announced him self that weezy was without a doubt the best alive when he retired after tha black albulm....and nas did tha same with kweli...(not when he retired cause he never did....)...and for Dmx and em....em has more potential than ne mc ever...just never used it cause he likes to be stupid and make songs about his evil deeds...and dmx is just plain ill...elpooz

so what? rakim was in a juelz santana video doesn't mean juelz is any good. weezy hasn't even released a classic album yet and kweli falters on his solo projects for the most part.

and thats exactly why em is not even top 20, why does an underachieving MC deserve so much credit? and dmx isn't even top 50

wow....no comment....how much dmx have u heard?...and there u go again looking past the meaning of intellectual rappers, they dont want to sound nice, they want to move ppl, kweli does just that so no he does no falter. and wtf r u going on about with juelz and rakim?...and weezy has only had 3 albulms no duh he hasnt had a classic, and thats why so much of hip hop and its fans, including me, are awaiting the carter 3, to see if weezy really is the best rappa alive, and is guna take the crown or if hes just joke claiming that hes the best.

enough, i've heard a couple of DMX cd's and he's not that great.  and i love kweli, one of my favorites but he is no where near top 5. and i brought up the juelz and rakim because of what you said about jay and weezy, just because a legend supports someone or says he's the best doesn't make it so.
