"There is something to be said for this. The long wait has hyped some folks into expectations that may be impossible to meet. That said, I really do believe based on what I have seen and heard that Season Three of Avatar will be some of the best animation ever to hit the screen. Giancarlo Volpe and I had quite a chat last week over dinner and discussed some of the truly great, groundbreaking American animated shows over the years. Gargoyles with it's first-in-animation story arc, Batman: The Animated Series with its adult themes, etc. Avatar has built on all of them with such things as a season-ending cliffhanger and multi-season story arc. Both of these have never before been done in American animation. Season Three will conclude the best finale set-up ever in a US cartoon, and at least in my mind take 40+17 episodes of preparation to a spectacular finish which I am purposefully staying in the dark about (fingers in ears, lalalalalalala when Eps 318-320 are mentioned).
Will everyone be satisfied, no. If your goal is to see Katara and (insert noun here) kiss and live happily ever after, you may well not feel fulfilled. If you want to see Aang and Friends save the world through some of the best storytelling and animation ever witnessed, you're in luck. To a person, the staff of ATLA have told me the wait will be worth it. Mike and Bryan, Giancarlo Volpe, Aaron Ehasz and the writers, all of them. It's not their choice for this delay, but I fully expect that by 305 and 306 no one will care about the delay anymore."
ASN staff went to an interview and reported this why did he close his ears lol my ears would be widely open and ready to take notes about the finale... I want to know. Boy I wish I could have ate dinner with them. But no Katara ships??? Oh well al least Zutara isn't happening haha JK But still Kataang forev and alwayz!!!
