my psp has been collecting dust ever since god of war. I could semi agree psp has been a boring year.

the new firmware was cool, but it takes forever and a day for a demo to dl and install

2nd, battery life sucks so much that i end up not playing after battery dies

3rd, some game has no loading time but games like NCAA 09 football takes FOREVER to load and i get impatient

oh yeah, i love ds' rpg last few months, dragon quest, final fantasy, and i can't wait for chrono trigger

Does it really matter if the 360 has a bunch of rpgs if most of them are average at best? Lost Oddysey was slightly better than average and Vesperia was very good as well as Eternal Sonata, but Sonata you can get on the PS3. The rest of the 360s rpgs were not veyr good at all. Fable 2 I dont' consider an rpg either, it's a short action game.

The PS3 has Sonata, which is very good, as well as Disagea which is good and the sleeper strategy rpg of the year Valkyria Chronciles. They also have FF13 (as does the 360) and FF13 VS which is EXCLUSIVE to the PS3.

The biggest two reasons you buy a 360 are for FPS (the 360s two biggest franchises are Halo and Gears) and Live. He has stated HE LIKES NEITHER.

The PS3's biggest franchises are Metal Gear, God of War, Uncharted, LBP and Resistance. Only one of those is an FPS.

I think he'd be happier with the PS3 even IF the 360 was on his list. PS3 exclusives are simply more up his alley since most 360 exclusives are shooters.

On top of all that his wife would probably ADORE Little Big Planet and get months and months of replayability out of it with user content.

I don't think there is even a debate. Go with PS3.

Haven't u guys seen how many Firmware sony has released to improve our beloved PS3!!!

e.g In 2.50 sony stuck in a recovery console so we can fix it ourself to some extent if our hard drive becomes corrupted and so many great firmwares before that.

Ps3 is just improving and improving. The games library are getting bigger and better with more delicious games to come. So why not home? if it sucks ( debatable ) or isn't that great now, it will improve over time but its a start and we should be happy we are atleast getting something for Free, instead of criticizing it :)

There are tons of possibilites with home it can actually become a huge virtual social network considering the PSN registrations are over 10 million!!!

GO SONY, all power to them!!! I hope they come out on top and we reclaim our rightful position as No 1 :)

Oh my freaking god. I have went to many forums the past few days and no one has even brought this subject up. I mean the NXE has been out a few days and I would've expected someone to notice. I have to express my feelings about Microsoft's terrible decisions. When they see an obstacle in their way they throw money at it (I've checked Wiki -- their yearly earnings are no where near Sony's) why they aren't broke yet is beyond me especially with the state our economy is in. My point is all you heard about was this NXE and how it was gonna change your xbox forever. LIES! there is nothing new about the NXE. People who own Wii's will notice the avatars. They may look slightly different but the basic design is there. People who own Playstation 3's will notice the XMB. YES!! That's right I said it. Their new interface reminds a whole lot of sony's system. You scroll up for a category and left and right for sub categories. RIP-OFF!!! That's the problem with Microsoft. jbc7343
