@Pokemon18986: I Agree with you on everything you said. The game is just a cash in for episode 7, nothing else. BF2 had over 30 maps in total I believe, with many unique locations and with each faction feeling different using different weapons. After playing the beta, both factions are the same, only different skins and objectives. It is highly repetitive, even more than any shooter I have played in the last 10 years. They could not even get the details right, RotJ Luke on Hoth.... really?
I will pass, perhaps get it in a few years when all the countless DLC packs are out, but only if it also has a major price drop. But that is doubtful.
@xxhypnotix420xx: Don't remember any battles during Return of the Jedi on Hoth though. Luke is running around in black with a green lightsaber on the Walker Assault map. Makes no sense.
Played the beta and it was terrible, chaotic mess of a game. The only good part was the presentation, sound and visuals are very good. But it is an obvious cash crab made only for the purpose to cash in on the movie.
This just miss that one element that makes me want to really play it. And that is the ability to not only sitt in a ship, to walk outside and explore space stations, derelict ships, planets etc etc on foot.
That everyone can become a hero character is a good thing, having that locked to some stupid kill streak bs would suck bad. But that seems to be the only good thing about heroes. ROTJ Luke on Hoth is so freaking stupid, much rather he be weaker than Darth Vader. And QTE stuff? Really?.... Is that what Lightsaber fights are going to be? Damnit, they made a pretty passable lightsaber combat system back in the day with Jedi Outcast.
I think this game is just something they mashed together to cash in on the movie. I will check it out myself if I can this weekend. But I doubt I will buy this game unless it drops heavily in price.
Definitely going to get the game. It will be worth it just booting it up from time to time and go explore a new planet. Even if it turns out like Spore in the end, I think this game will be worth the price tag.
@doonish: Pre-orders was fine back in the day when they did not try every sleazy way to make people pre-order. Big pre-order bonuses these days just makes me suspicious, as it seems they don't trust their own game to be good enough.
