Summer is well on its way to ending, school gets in on Sept.2 (five days earlier than last year) and so all I have to look forward to is work and maybe seeing some friends (Stevie_Q) hopefully. On the plus side, I got lots of good gaming in and probably have some reviews i want to write. There are some things that surprised me this summer in the game world, and here is the top 5.
5.Ninja Gaiden is an EXTREMELY hard game. This game is not only hard but, you dont get to choose your difficulty. It gives you a difficulty for the game depending on how well you do the first level. Since the first level is the demo level i had done it tons and therefore was on the hardest difficulty. It is the hardest game I have ever played.
4. Star Wars TFU wasnt as good as I had hoped. Unless they do some serious control changing this will be a difficult game to play through. (when you pick something up, it is hard to aim and you cant move so you can get shot to death while trying to force lift an object.)
3.Too Human flopped! I thought the game looked cool and was hoping I would get a chance to play it, so much for that.
2.Bioshock wasnt as amazing as everyone (including almost every reviewer on the planet) had said. Sure, its cool (and scary) at first, but as the game moves on it becomes repetitive and some of the powers and guns are just cheap. You either need to use one certain gun the whole game, or one certain plasmid(I won't specify for those who want to play Bioshock). I never brought myself to finish the game and wouldnt recommend buying it but rather renting it.
1.FFVII is one of the best games I have ever played, even if it is a bit old. It probably has one of the best storylines and the best soundtrack in a game. Everything is memorable and I wish they made more games like this.
And finally... I might get an X360 WITH XBL if they do end up reducing the price of an Xbox Arcade to $199, plus I might get a High-def tv (finally) and yeah thats pretty much it. Hopefully everyone else had great summers too :)
