lcds DO NOT have longer life spans
[QUOTE="MuffinPunk"]Just get an LCD, they last longer and are just better for gaming.RaC3rFr3Ak
You're doing it wrong.
LCDs have a response time (BAD for shooters and driving games), Plasmas dont. LCDs fade after acouple years (so even if they last longer, the picture looks like crap), Plasmas dont.
Plasmas DO burn in if you keep a steady pattern (eg. a HUD for a racing game) across the screen for, lets say, 3-4 hours steady. Dont be afraid if you think you see burn in if you have only been playing for like an hour or two, it will go away. If you are getting a plasma, get Panasonic.
Also, real quick. The image that stays for a few minutes and goes away after watching full screen tv is not burn-in. That is call Image retention. IR is normal on plasmas and goes away just mintues after watching full screenshows.
After a session of gaming I will usually leave my tv on for about 5 minutes on say the discovery channel and make sure it is full screen. that will get rid of any IR.
I have a hitachi 42in plasma. Great tv love watching movies on it, and playing 360 on it. But i do feel i have to be careful when gaming on it. Looking back I kind of wish I just got an lcd and dealt with poor black quality.
And nowadays LCDs DO NOT last longer than plasmas. Anyone above who said otherwise, i would just ignore there entire post b/c they obviously dont know what they are talking about.
I just bought an xbox Elite (made in Feb. 08) used for 360 at a local game store. They bought my old premium for 210. So it was a great deal for me. Anyways I want to get an HDMI cable, will any of the 1.3a HDMI cables work for me?
Thanks for the help!
