How dare you call Joffery, Joffery Lannister! He is Joffery of the House Baratheon, First of His Name, King of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, and Protector of the Realm.
@DIGN @mgsfan104 @equilibrium11 Uncharted is very much a cinematic experience, it is a homage to Indiana Jones and would easily translate to film. God of War is not the same. The majority of the game is actually spent on Cronos's back trying to find Pandora's Box. Which includes large amounts of puzzles mixed with clearing enemies full of rooms.
Uncharted is very light on puzzles and is filled with cutscenes, on the other hand you can count the number of cutscenes in GOW on your hand.
@equilibrium11 Because the script is often not just there for them. A God of War movie would be very challenging. The majority of the game you spend puzzle solving, and Kratos barely speaks. How does that translate into a movie?
The trick is boiling down the essential of the story, guy pledges life to God of War, gets screwed in the process, takes on a mission to take down the God of War and get revenge, in the process becomes labeled the new God of War. But, how to turn that into a full fledged movie will be a challenge due to the structure of the game.
Now, there are definitely some games where the script is made for you. Max Payne was easiest fucking game to make into a movie and they fucking blew it. Very little needed to be changed to make the game into a movie but yet they changed everything and made it shit.
