Have you tried rasing the brightness in the game itself rather than the monitor?

Yes i have to the max and the units were still hard to see. I mean not imposible to see but hard and stressed by eyes out trying to look for a little red spot walking or moving hehe.

Hi guys i have been having trouble with the latest and newest games out in the market. Supreme Commander/ World of Warcraft and others...

Like in Supreme Commander there are dark maps, and some units in supreme commander can be hard to see even with the video options tweaked to increase brightness to 100. Also in World Of Warcraft like going down in one of the Dungons like in Onexya's lair it can be really hard to see unless you hit your brightness around 80-100%. So having all this issues i say my self, what's the point of having a really really dark game if you have to turn brightness to 100 and all that.. Why not just dim a bit but not to much. I know the night time effects are great but most players will just see a white road and a black surroundings; instead of trees and the road leading to the town.

I have a new computer with the newest video cards and a good amount of ram.

So have you guys had any of the same problems i have playing some of the pc games?

So is it the game the problem of been to dark or is it the monitor or some computer related problem?

I just want to be able to play a game around 50%-50% brightness/contrast... I don't want to hurt my eyes hard core with high brightness to enjoy the game. I have other games that i can play fine with 30% 30% brightness contrast and it has dark levels.

Thank you for your time!

Wolrd of Warcraft was a fun and very new view of an RPG at low levels, but when getting around level 40 or 70 it felt like working... i mean like really working.., i work in the real world, but to work in a video gameandpay them aswell... eh not so much fun. By work i mean... there are points in the game when your high level where you have to get a group going and that could take up to hours... and when you finaly have a group to raid a dungon you need... they might leave in the middle or wait for them to get there.. and that'sa nother few hours. Also when you get to level 70 you have to raid a dungon for months or even up to a year to get the best gear in the game to raid another dungon for then you can raid another dungon and not only that.... you have to increase your reputation with many factions... that means killing some monsters over and over and over and over again... sounds boring don't it? Raids depending on communication and co-op in the raid can be from 3 hours to 8 hours. Also getting the raid together takes time even if pre-announced... and sometimes people won't show up, because they got lifes. Also in the raids you spent a lot of your gold witch you have to farm by killing monsters over and over again and doing smaller dungons to farm for amors that might sell or not go to you. Also if you wipe in a raid in high levels it gets costly to repair your gear. So at the end you end up farming "Working to get your gold". That dosen't sound fun to me. The game hits people can only play 1-3 hours max of game time, hard!!. For those who have little time to play the game, you will feel like you are making no progress. When you get higher levels it will take like 10 days or more to up one level. I don't hate the game or the looks, just it's not fun anymore. Wait till the new expansion kicks in.. level 80... a year or more to level up for the ones with few hours to play a day. There are other ways of getting good gears in the game but you have work for it as well... time and money is the main key to this game... the more time you give the game the better your hero will be. So if you can give it a full day you will make progress a lot. But not healthy for your body.. your eyes... your health...your life. There is no way i can be proved wrong from what i wrote, unless blizz changes the game a bit. But it won't do it cause it got millions of addicted fans and it's their work. But 9 million could count from people who quited alredy conbined with some playing. 9 million people on all at the same time will crash their realms or make it extremly laggy.
